On November 18, the Korean Business Research Institute published the latest list of individual Kpop male idol brand reputation rankings for November 2023. BTS’s Jungkook, Jimin, and V, as well as ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo and Wanna One’s Ong Seong Wu, emerged as the most popular individual boy group members this month. November 2023 Individual Kpop Boy Group Member Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute analyzed boy group member popularity for November 2023. They collected brand data from 716 boy group members between October 18 and November 18, 2023, totaling 79,023,431 instances. This represented a 4.59% increase compared to October‘s brand data, which was 75,558,951.
The Institute analyzed consumer behavior using several factors like participation, media, communication, and community indexes. These factors were used to calculate the brand reputation index, which measures the popularity and impact of boy group members.
BTS Jungkook, BTS Jimin, ASTRO Cha Eun Woo, BTS V, and Wanna One Ong Seong Wu emerged as the top 5 most popular male idols for November 2023. They dominated the brand reputation rankings in the Kpop industry.
Top 5 Individual Kpop Boy Group Members
1. BTS Jungkook
Jungkook from BTS maintained his winning streak by securing the top spot on the list for the fifth consecutive month. In the keyword analysis, the Institute discovered that “GOLDEN,” “Billboard,” and “ARMY” were the most prominent keywords associated with the singer.
Moreover, the link analysis revealed that the terms “record,” “perform,” and “appear on” were commonly used in reference to him, highlighting his talent and success. Notably, the positivity-negativity analysis showed that Jungkook received an outstandingly positive reaction, with a remarkable 92.51% rating, indicating a devoted and ardent fanbase that truly appreciates his work.
Furthermore, Jungkook achieved several impressive metrics, including a participation index of 384,724, a media index of 970,381, a communication index of 2,169,891, and a community index of 2,670,768. Consequently, his brand reputation index, which serves as a measure of his popularity, reached an astounding 6,195,765 – marking a significant increase of 12.81% since October.
2. BTS Jimin
BTS member Jimin, who received multiple nominations at the Billboard Music Awards 2023, maintained his position in second place this month. He achieved a participation index of 424,869, a media index of 403,091, a communication index of 1,581,127, and a community index of 2,109,657. Consequently, his brand reputation index reached an impressive 4,518,744. However, compared to October’s brand reputation index of 4,572,219, this marks a slight decrease of 1.17%.
3. ASTRO Cha Eun Woo
Cha Eun Woo of ASTRO, who looked stunning on W Korea magazine recently, also stayed in third position this month. Moreover, he earned a participation index of 1,666,972, a media index of 885,061, a communication index of 727,874, and a community index of 975,344. Consequently, he gained a brand reputation index of 4,255,251 this month. It decreased by 5.20% compared to the brand reputation index of 4,488,627 in October.
4. BTS V
V from BTS, who made history as the first Kpop soloist to spend 7 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, rose to the fourth position on the list. Additionally, he achieved a participation index of 277,032, a media index of 268,363, a communication index of 863,721, and a community index of 1,742,561 this month. Consequently, V earned a brand reputation index of 3,151,677. Compared to the brand reputation index of 2,363,656 in October, this marks a significant increase of 33.34%.
5. Wanna One Ong Seong Wu
Ong Seong Woo, a member of Wanna One, captivated fans with his performance in the Kdrama “Strong Girl Nam Soon.” He secured the fifth position and completed the top 5 list this month. Additionally, the idol actor achieved a participation index of 1,196,344, a media index of 520,307, a communication index of 611,974, and a community index of 642,330. Consequently, he obtained a brand reputation index of 2,970,955. Compared to the brand reputation index of 2,106,466 in October, this marks a significant increase of 41.04%.
