On September 16, the Korean Business Research Institute published the brand reputation rankings for the most popular Kpop boy group members in September 2023. These rankings offer insights into the popularity and influence of the individual Kpop boy group members. September 2023 Top 100 Individual Kpop Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute collected and analyzed 5,644,928 pieces of brand member big data from 716 boy group members between August 16 and September 16, 2023. However, there was a decrease of 21.68% compared to the 109,355,473 pieces of member brand big data collected last August.
Furthermore, the institute analyzed consumer behavior using the dataset to determine boy group members’ brand reputation index and popularity rankings. The analysis considered brand participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness.
As a result, for the September list, BTS Jungkook, BTS V, Wanna One Kang Daniel, BTS Jimin, and ASTRO Cha Eun Woo continued to dominate the top five positions.
Top 5 Kpop Boy Group Members
1. BTS Jungkook
- Brand Participation Index: 346,214
- Media Index: 530,850
- Communication Index: 1,263,129
- Community Index 2,182,526
Jungkook from BTS has maintained his position in first place for the third consecutive month in September. However, his brand reputation index experienced a decline of 38.18%, dropping from 6,992,686 in August to 4,322,719.
In terms of the linking analysis, the terms “record,” “dominate,” and “surpass” were identified as the most popular related terms for Jungkook. Additionally, in his keyword analysis, “Seven,” “ARMY,” and “Billboard” emerged as the most popular keywords. Furthermore, Jungkook obtained a positive reaction score of 87.42% in the positivity-negativity analysis. In addition, the singer recently achieved the Song of the Summer award for “Seven” at the 2023 MTV VMAs.
2. BTS V

BTS V’s brand reputation index increased by 8.67%, rising from 3,909,040 in August to 4,247,789 this month. V recently set a new record as the first soloist in Hanteo history to achieve a double-million seller with his solo debut album “Layover.”
3. Wanna One Kang Daniel

- Media Index: 877,284
- Communication Index: 843,430
- Community Index: 800,470
Kang Daniel climbed to third place this month, although his brand reputation index dropped 4.38%. It decreased from 3,598,242 in August to 3,440,712 this month. The singer is currently active as the MC of Mnet’s “Street Women Fighter” show.
4. BTS Jimin
- Brand Participation Index: 487,576
- Media Index: 464,764
- Communication Index: 771,750
- Community Index: 1,415,998
BTS Jimin’s brand reputation index experienced a significant decrease of 29.12%, dropping from 4,429,960 in August to 3,140,089 in September. However, his album, “FACE,” achieved a remarkable milestone as a Korean soloist’s first and fastest album to surpass 1.1 billion streams on Spotify.
5. ASTRO Cha Eunwoo

Cha Eun Woo experienced a significant decrease in his brand reputation index, dropping by 32.95%. His index decreased from 4,120,171 in August to 2,762,739 this month. Despite this, the idol actor’s new drama series “A Good Day to Be a Dog” has released its teasers and is set to premiere in October.
