On September 17, the Korean Business Research Institute published the brand reputation rankings for the most popular Kpop Girl group members in September 2023. These rankings provide insights into the popularity and influence of individual Kpop Girl group members. September 2023 Top 100 Individual Kpop Girl Group Member Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute extracted and analyzed 98,276,176 pieces of brand big data from 655 girl group members from August 17 to September 17, 2023. However, this marked a decrease of 24.33% compared to the 129,868,626 pieces of member brand data collected last August.
Furthermore, the institute analyzed consumer behavior using the dataset to determine girl group members’ brand reputation index and popularity rankings. The analysis took into account brand participation, communication, media coverage, and community awareness.
In the September list, NewJeans Minji, BLACKPINK Jisoo, NewJeans Hanni, NewJeans Haerin, and TWICE Jihyo dominated the top five positions.

1. New Jeans Minji
- Brand Participation Index: 1,246,950
- Media Index: 1,119,068
- Communication Index: 1,252,543
- Community Index: 1,154,780
NewJeans Minji’s brand reputation index decreased by 41.55%, from 8,167,123 in August to 4,773,341 in September. Despite the decrease, the oldest member of NewJeans, who recently revealed that her brother is studying at Kyung Hee University, a prestigious university in South Korea, has continued to hold the top spot in the rankings for girl group member brand reputation in September 2023.
Furthermore, according to the Institute, NewJeans Minji received high rankings in link analysis for terms such as “innocent,” “beautiful,” and “sparkling.” In keyword analysis, they found that words like “supershy,” “university festival,” and “pop-up store” ranked highly. Additionally, Minji had a positive ratio of 85.20% in the analysis of positivity and negativity.

2. Blackpink Jisoo

BLACKPINK’s Jisoo climbed to the second position in this month’s girl group member brand reputation rankings. The idol-actress, recently eyed for the zombie romance Kdrama “Influenza,” achieved a brand reputation index of 4,385,506 this month. However, there was a decrease of 24.17% from her brand reputation index of 5,782,995 in August.
3. New Jeans Hanni
- Brand Participation Index: 1,194,820
- Media Index: 1,071,554
- Communication Index: 763,433
- Community Index: 1,158,770
Hanni of NewJeans, who recently faced mixed reactions in Vietnam due to her dual Vietnamese-Australian citizenship, dropped to third place. The singer’s brand reputation index decreased by 44.45%, from 7,539,878 in August to 4,188,577 in September.
4. NewJeans Haerin
- Brand Participation Index: 939,383
- Media Index: 849,109
- Communication Index: 438,013
- Community Index: 1,390,878
Haerin of NewJeans, who recently gained massive attention for her appearance at the “Lady Dior Celebration” exhibition, dropped to fourth place. She achieved a brand reputation index of 3,617,382 this month, indicating a decrease of 43.65% compared to her index of 6,419,829 in August.
5. TWICE Jihyo
- Brand Participation Index: 735,554
- Media Index: 739,328
- Communication Index: 725,571
- Community Index: 1,065,773
Finally, TWICE’s Jihyo rounded out the top five girl group members this month. Jihyo, who recently made her solo debut with the mini-album “ZONE,” experienced an impressive increase in her brand reputation index by 180.06%. It increased from 1,166,270 in August to 3,266,227 in September.
