On April 27, the Korean Business Research Institute announced the latest brand reputation rankings for the most popular Kpop idols. Including both male and female idols, ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, ILLIT’s Wonhee, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, and EXO’s Baekhyun topped the rankings for individual Kpop idols this month. April 2024 Top Individual Kpop Idol Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute collected 69,478,209 pieces of data on 1,730 idol personal brands from March 25 to April 25, 2024. They conducted a comprehensive consumer behavior analysis to assess the idols’ brand value. This evaluation included the measurement of various indexes, such as participation, media, communication, and community. In comparison to the 60,865,506 data points collected on idol personal brands last March, there was a 14.15% increase.”

1. ASTRO Cha Eun Woo
Cha Eun Woo from ASTRO continues to lead the individual Kpop idol brand reputation rankings in April 2024. The male idol who recently completed his “Mystery Elevator” fan con achieved a brand value of 3,891,140. Compared to the brand reputation index of 5,041,728 last March, it fell 22.82% with the following indices:
- Participation Index: 954,092
- Media Index: 819,772
- Communication Index: 1,017,383
- Community Index: 1,099,894
Furthermore, in a link analysis, the Institute found that “performance,” “perfect,” and “happy” were terms most strongly associated with the idol. Additionally, the Institute found “Fan Con,” “Just One Ten Minutes,” and “Wonderful World” as the most popular keywords in the idol’s keyword analysis. Lastly, in the positive/negative ratio analysis, idol actors obtained a positive rate of 89.57%.
2. BLACKPINK Jennie
The trendsetter idol, Jennie from BLACKPINK, who recently appeared in ZICO’s new single “SPOT!”, remained in the second position this month. The female idol achieved a brand value of 3,473,456 this month. Compared to the brand reputation index of 3,045,047 last March, it rose 14.07% with the following indices:

- Media Index: 141,520
- Communication Index: 1,009,668
- Community Index: 1,803,804
3. ILLIT Wonhee
Debuting in the third position, female rookie idol Wonhee from ILLIT newly entered the individual Kpop idol rankings this month. The 16-year-old rookie idol also topped April’s Kpop girl group member rankings. The rookie idol achieved a brand value of 3,064,663 with the following indices:

- Media Index: 710,054
- Communication Index: 760,027
- Community Index: 679,200
4 Girls’ Generation Taeyeon
Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation, who hosts the Taeng Forest program on her YouTube channel, fell to the fourth position this month. The “INVU” singer achieved a brand value of 2,567,872 this month. Compared to her brand value of 3,181,969 in March, it fell 19.30%, with the following indices:

5. EXO Baekhyun
