On November 24, the Korean Business Research Institute unveiled the brand reputation rankings for individual Kpop idols for November 2023. BTS members Jimin, JungKook, V, and NewJeans members Minji and Hanni dominated the top five idols this month. November 2023 Top Individual Kpop Idol Brand Reputation Rankings: 1st BTS Jimin, 2nd BTS Jungkook, 3rd NewJeans Minji
The Korean Business Research Institute analyzed 83,264,096 personal brand data of 1,720 idols from October 23 to November 23, 2023. It showed a 36.50% increase compared to last September’s data of 60,997,497 idols.
The institute used recent big data to examine consumer behavior and considered factors such as participation, media, communication, and community indexes to determine each idol’s brand reputation index. They used these findings to compile the latest brand reputation rankings for individual Kpop idols of the month.
Based on the November 2023 individual Kpop idol rankings, BTS Jimin claimed the top spot, with BTS JungKook following closely in second place. NewJeans Minji and Hanni secured third and fourth place, respectively. Rounding up the top five list for this month was BTS V. These Kpop idols are recognized as the most popular in the industry for the month.
Top 5 Most Popular Individual Kpop Idols
1. BTS Jimin
Jimin from BTS claimed the number one spot with a brand reputation index of 6,267,302. This index marks an impressive 134.15% increase in his score since the previous rankings in September, where the brand reputation index was 2,676,644.
Breaking down the indexes further, Jimin achieved a participation index of 219,809, a media index of 449,550, a communication index of 2,784,842, and a community index of 2,813,101. During the keyword analysis, notable phrases associated with Jimin were “Billboard,” “Like Crazy,” and “ARMY.” Additionally, his highest-ranking related terms were “record,” “spotlight,” and “release.”
Moreover, the positivity-negativity analysis showed that Jimin received a remarkable 91.39% positive reaction. In recent news, BIGHIT MUSIC announced Jimin, along with his fellow members RM, V, and JungKook, will enlist soon.
2. BTS JungKook
JungKook, the talented member of BTS, made impressive strides in his brand reputation. His influence was undeniable, with a participation index of 147,128, a media index of 361,060, a communication index of 2,057,430, and a community index of 3,240,226.
Despite experiencing a slight decline of 2.26% from September’s index, which stood at 5,939,979, JungKook managed to secure the second position thanks to his consistent efforts and positive reputation. He became the first solo K-pop artist to have four songs simultaneously chart on the Billboard Hot 100 for multiple weeks.
3. NewJeans Minji
Minji, a member of NewJeans, was recently featured on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Thailand. She maintained her position in the third spot for this month. She earned a participation index of 373,434, a media index of 964,062, a communication index of 1,460,562, and a community index of 1,639,024. According to the rankings, she gained a brand reputation index of 4,437,081, which showed a significant increase of 56.18% compared to the index of 2,840,943 in September.
4. NewJeans Hanni
Hanni from NewJeans, who made waves in the fashion scene, made an impressive performance this month. She climbed from 9th to 4th position in November. The singer achieved a participation index of 255,060, a media index of 956,121, a communication index of 1,371,720, and a community index of 1,578,251. As a result, she gained a brand reputation index of 4,161,153, a significant increase of 128.01% compared to September’s index of 1,824,995.
5. BTS V
The dynamic BTS V, set to appear on “Running Man” again, continues to shine despite a slight setback. With a participation index of 130,429, a media index of 347,701, a communication index of 1,342,228, and a community index of 1,649,690, his presence was undeniable. However, there was a drop in his brand reputation index, which reached 3,470,048, marking an 18.30% decline compared to September’s index of 4,247,056. Nevertheless, V maintained his spot in the top five rankings, demonstrating his unwavering popularity.
