The Korean Business Research Institute has released the latest brand reputation rankings for the most popular Kpop male groups in January 2024. Take a look at the top 50 Kpop boy group brand rankings below.
January 2024 Top Kpop Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings
From December 13, 2023, to January 13, 2024, the Korean Business Research Institute collected 62,649,153 pieces of big data for Kpop boy group brands. This figure represents a 21.92% increase compared to the 51,385,078 data points measured in December 2023. The Institute used consumer behavior analysis and the latest big data to determine participation, media usage, communication, and community indices.
According to the analysis, SEVENTEEN, NCT, BTS, RIIZE, and ZEROBASEONE emerged as the top-ranking boy group brands in terms of popularity for January 2024.

1. SEVENTEEN
SEVENTEEN, the Kpop boy group who recently released their single “The Meaning of Meeting,” claimed the top spot as the most popular boy group in January 2024. The analysis revealed the following indices:
- Participation Index: 431,756
- Media Index: 2,890,205
- Communication Index: 1,166,422
- Community Index: 1,668,690
The group’s January brand reputation index scored 6,157,072, which rose 21.78% from the December brand reputation index of 5,055,902.
Moreover, SEVENTEEN’s brand analysis revealed that their link analysis identified keywords such as “to enlist,” “record,” and “disclose.” In the keyword analysis, popular terms included “album,” “golden disk,” and “nana tour.” Furthermore, the positive-negative analysis showed that the group had an impressive positive rate of 83.78%.
2. NCT
NCT, who will have their fifth and final subunit called NCT Wish to debut next month, rose to the second position this month. The analysis reveals critical indices:
- Participation Index: 85,282
- Media Index: 1,239,258
- Communication Index: 1,026,308
- Community Index: 1,713,652
NCT’s January brand reputation index scored 4,064,501, an impressive 105.32% increase from the December brand reputation index of 1,979,597.
3. BTS
Despite BTS members being in mandatory South Korean military service, the group remained in the top five list and took third place. BTS’s brand analysis revealed the following indices:
- Participation Index: 247,559
- Media Index: 955,132
- Communication Index: 1,209,214
- Community Index: 1,266,069
BTS’s January brand reputation index scored 3,677,975, a 47.06% decrease compared to the December brand reputation index of 6,947,409.
4. RIIZE
Rookie idol group RIIZE, who recently unveiled a Japanese version of “Love 119,” rose to fourth place. Based on the analysis, the group achieved impressive values with the following indices:
- Participation Index 403,191
- Media Index 1,228,991
- Communication Index 848,864
- Community Index 1,006,599
RIIZE’s brand reputation index scored 3,487,644, an impressive 113.15% increase from the December index of 1,636,212.
5. ZEROBASEONE
ZEROBASEONE, a rookie idol group who will be performing at the 2-day Krazy Super Concert in LA for the Lunar New Year, dropped to fifth place on the list this month. The group achieved impressive values across various indices:
- Participation Index: 148,508
- Media Index: 1,704,210
- Communication Index: 519,044
- Community Index: 816,864
ZEROBASEONE’s January brand reputation index scored 3,188,626, representing a significant 25.25% increase compared to the December brand reputation index of 2,545,809.
