On March 10, the Korean Business Research Institute released the latest top list of Kpop male idol groups for March 2024. This month, SEVENTEEN, TWS, THE BOYZ, NCT, and RIIZE emerged as the most popular Kpop male groups. March 2024 Top 50 Kpop Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings
Between February 9 and March 9, 2024, the Korean Business Research Institute conducted an analysis of the big data for Kpop male group brands. They analyzed a total of 48,451,344 data points, focusing on participation, media, communication, and community metrics to identify trends in consumer behavior. In comparison to the numbers from February, which totaled 53,831,342 data points, there was a decrease of 9.99%.
In March 2024, SEVENTEEN, TWS, THE BOYZ, NCT, and RIIZE achieved the highest brand reputation indexes for male group brand reputation rankings, making them the top 5 most popular groups.
TOP 5
1. SEVENTEEN
Kpop male group SEVENTEEN secured the top position among the most popular groups in March 2024. The breakdown of their indices is as follows:
- Participation Index: 361,612
- Media Index: 933,686
- Communication Index: 1,039,320
- Community Index: 1,714,558
As a result, SEVENTEEN achieved a March brand reputation index of 4,049,176. Compared to the brand value of 5,896,081 in February, it fell 31.32%. Furthermore, the group’s key phrases that standing out in the keyword analysis were “OST,” “album,” and “ticketing.” Meanwhile, the top related terms were “record,” “participate,” and “release.” Notably, the group’s sentiment analysis showed an impressive 81.54% positivity rate.
2. TWS
Newly entered in the rankings, rookie Kpop group TWS landed in the second position this month. They impressively achieved a brand reputation index of 2,835,019 this month with the following indices:
- Participation Index: 608,417
- Media Index: 786,846
- Communication Index: 852,236
- Community Index: 587,520
3. THE BOYZ
Kpop group THE BOYZ, who will make a comeback this month, remained in third place this month in the rankings with the following indices:
- Participation Index: 198,102
- Media Index: 980,699
- Communication Index: 484,749
- Community Index: 1,168,481
Consequently, THE BOYZ earned a brand reputation index of 2,832,031. This reflects a decrease of 13.22% compared to the brand reputation index of 3,263,313 in February.
4. NCT
Kpop boy group NTC rose to the fourth position this month. The group saw a positive increase of 2.55% in the brand value from the prior month with the following indices:
- Participation Index: 70,076
- Media Index: 818,698
- Communication Index: 923,688
- Community Index: 995,198
As a result, the group’s brand reputation index increased from 2,737,828 in February to 2,807,659 in March.
5. RIIZE
Rookie idol group RIIZE , set to embark on their first fan-con this year, completed the top five Kpop male groups this month. The group experienced a significant 47.32% decline in brand reputation index with the details of their indices as below:
- Participation index: 359,899
- Media index: 680,431
- Communication index: 567,761
- Community index: 633,677
- Brand reputation analysis: 2,241,767
Consequently, the rookie male group experienced a significant decline from 4,255,165 in February to 2,241,767 in March.
