January 2024 Top Kpop Girl Group Brand Reputation Rankings
From December 14, 2023, to January 14, 2024, the Korean Business Research Institute collected 45,245,126 pieces of big data for Kpop girl group brands, representing a 12.11% increase compared to the previous month. The Institute utilized consumer behavior analysis and the latest big data to determine participation, media, communication, and community indices.
According to the analysis, BLACKPINK, NewJeans, IVE, TWICE, and LE SSERAFIM emerged as the top-ranking girl group brands in terms of popularity for January 2024.

1. BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK, consisting of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, maintained their top position in the brand reputation rankings for January 2024. This achievement further establishes their status as a prominent Kpop girl group. The analysis outlined the following indices for the group:
- Participation Index: 206,040
- Media Index: 1,029,871
- Communication Index: 1,044,428
- Community Index: 2,394,738
As a result, BLACKPINK’s January brand reputation index reached 4,675,078, which decreased by 23.97% from December 2023’s brand reputation index of 6,148,842.
Moreover, the link analysis of their brand revealed strong associations with “appearance, achievements, and freedom,” signifying their widespread recognition and appeal. Furthermore, the keywords analysis that garnered the highest prominence were “Jennie, red carpet, and Billboard,” further highlighting their notable accomplishments and influence within the industry. A sentiment analysis of the BLACKPINK brand indicated an overwhelmingly positive ratio of 93.54%, affirming the group’s exceptional reputation and popularity among fans and the general public.

The rookie girl group NewJeans, who will be honored as the “Group of the Year” at the “2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards,” maintained the second position this month. They achieved the following indices:
- Participation Index: 406,912
- Media Index: 1,063,059
- Communication Index: 667,875
- Community Index: 1,930,847
As a result, NewJeans’ brand reputation index in January reached 4,068,692, a 13.99% decrease from December 2023’s of 4,730,218.
3. IVE
IVE, the quintet group that recently released a performance video of “All Night” featuring Saweetie, remained in the third place on the list. According to the analysis, they achieved the following indices:

IVE gained a brand reputation index of 3,345,078 in January, indicating a 26.44% decrease from the brand reputation index of 4,547,363 in December 2023.

TWICE, JYP Entertainment’s girl group set to release their 13th mini album “With YOU-th” next month, rose to the fourth position this month. The analysis showed an increase in the following indices:

- Media Index 983,976

TWICE’s brand reputation index for January scored 2,551,545, representing a 1.56% increase from December’s brand reputation index of 2,512,388.
5. LE SSERAFIM
LE SSERAFIM, who will release their third EP, “EASY,” next month, rose to the fifth position. Based on the analysis, the group obtained the following indices:

- Community Index: 771,099
The group’s brand reputation index scored 2,410,596 in January, a 4.15% decrease from 2,515,040 in December 2023.
