Following the previous case of Doyoung’s positive test, YG Entertainment announced that the TREASURE maknae, Jung Hwan, had also tested positive for COVID-19.

Jung Hwan Initially Received Negative Test

According to the announcement from YG Entertainment, TREASURE Jung Hwan had received negative results, following Doyoung’s COVID-19 case. However, after constantly checking his health, his rapid test showed a positive result of COVID-19, followed by PCR test confirmation.

On July 16, YG Entertainment released an official statement announcing Jung Hwan’s positive test result for COVID-19.

“This is YG Entertainment.
We inform you that TREASURE member So Jung Hwan tested positive for COVID-19 today (July 16).
Besides Doyoung who tested positive on July 13, the other TREASURE members and staff have tested negative as a result of all additional tests until now.
So Jung Hwan tested negative initially, but he received a positive result from continuously checking his health with a rapid detection kit while under self-quarantine, and he was confirmed positive with the following PCR test.
We are providing full support and taking preemptive safety measures with the health of our artists and staff as the top priority, and we are actively cooperating with contact tracing by health authorities.
We once again thank fans for your concern and the medical workers who are dedicated to overcoming COVID-19, and we will once again make quick and accurate announcements if any changes arise in the future.”
