“Vincenzo” Star Song Joong Ki to Possibly Return in New Noir Film “Hwaran”
After the success of “Space Sweepers,” Korean media outlets on June 24 reported that actor Song Joong Ki might return to the big screen. The new film that Song Joong Ki has been offered to star in is a noir film, “Hwaran.”
In response to the reports, HISTORY D&C, Song Joong Ki’s agency, stated,
“He is positively reviewing the offer to star in ‘Hwaran.'”

The forthcoming noir film “Hwaran” is about unstable people who commit risky actions to escape from their miserable lives. Further, Sanai Pictures and HISTORY D&C will produce the movie.
Song Joong Ki’s Upcoming Drama “Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son“
Actor Song Joong Ki is currently filming “Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son,” a JTBC drama. The fantasy drama “Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son” is based on a famous web novel of the same title. It centers on the secretary of a chaebol family who is reborn as the family’s youngest son.
The actor shared his current project on his Instagram.
In the drama, he will play the character of Yoon Hyun Woo, the drama’s lead role. Yoon Hyun Woo is a devoted secretary to the Sunyang Group family. However, someone framed and accused him of embezzlement, which cost his life. Later, he is reborn as the family’s youngest son, Jin Do Joon. With his new life and position, he pursues to take over the business as revenge.
Writer Kim Tae Hee of “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” and “A Beautiful Mind” writes the JTBC’s “Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son.” If Song Joong Ki accepts the offer, then it will be the second project of him and writer Kim Tae Hee after the historical drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal.”
Meanwhile, director Jung Dae Yoon of “She Was Pretty” and “W” will direct the upcoming drama.
