Jackson Wang has athletes’ blood in his veins
On various occasions, Jackson Wang mentioned that his mom was a former gymnast and his father was a fencing athlete who got gold medals in Asian Games.
It is no wonder that Jackson is also good at sports, especially in fencing. Even, he has won various competitions in the junior leagues.
Jackson Wang gave up his sports scholarship
Being talented and skilled in fencing, Jackson was offered a sports scholarship from Stanford University. Besides, he was preparing for the London Olympics in 2012.
However, he decided not to take the chance and pursue his dream of becoming a singer. Jackson then moved to South Korea and started his career as a Kpop idol.

Jackson Wang’s path after GOT7 Disbandment
After leaving JYP Entertainment, Jackson Wang decided to continue pursuing his dream with his own label ‘Team Wang.’ The record label was founded in 2017 and conducts business in music, production, and artist management.
‘Team Wang’ has released Jackson Wang’s solo studio album, ‘Mirrors,’ and several non-album singles.
In addition, Jackson Wang established ‘Team Wang Design,’ co-founded by Henry Cheung. The luxury streetwear label is based in Shanghai, China.
