ARMYs have been waiting for the release of BTS V self-produced song for Itaewon Class OST. Entering the final weeks of Itaewon Class, “Sweet Night” by the vocalist of BTS is being released. Self-written and produced by Kim Tae Hyung, the song is indeed sweet and entirely in English. This song’s genre is indie-pop with an acoustic feel. It is indeed his first self-produced song for a drama OST. It has a warm melody and sung over acoustic guitar and violin.
It’s not surprising that the world is excited for the “Sweet Night.” And it’s all over Twitter and music charts.

Park Sae Roy impressed BTS V
As ARMYs know, BTS V’s close friend, Park Seo Joon, plays in Itaewon Class as Park Sae Roy. ARMYs speculate that this is one of the reasons BTS V wants to write as well as sing the OST for this drama. Besides, V said that he had read the Itaewon Class in Webtoon version.
“The character of Park Sae Roy left a particularly deep impression on me, and I really liked him. So I’m really thrilled that a close friend of mine, whom I really like, is playing the role of Park Sae Roy,” V added ahead of the song release.
V and Park Seo Joon has starred in the Korean drama, Hwarang in 2016. Furthermore, before Itaewon Class, BTS V and BTS Jin sang the OST of Hwarang. However, the song was not written by BTS V. Different from that, “Sweet Night” is one of several songs BTS V has written so far.
New hope for Park Sae Roy
Park Sae Roy’s life has turned upside down after he beats a bully at school, which makes him being expelled from school. Not long after that, his dad is killed in an accident. He finds out that the bully -he beats at school- is involved in the accident. Burnt with anger, he beats the person again. Because of that, he is imprisoned for three years. Life gets tougher after he is released from prison.
Though, “Sweet Night” gives hope for Park Sae Roy that his life is going to be filled with sweetness again. In the chorus part, it says, “How could I know | one day I’d wake up feeling more.” By listening to “Sweet Night” as Itaewon Class OST is in its final weeks, we can expect a happy ending to this drama.
