HYBE Delivers BTS Military Service Statement and Announcement + A 2025 Promise
Signed, sealed, and delivered! BTS will be going on mandatory military enlistment this year.
On October 17 at 4 PM KST, HYBE delivered an official statement and announcement that BTS will fulfill their mandatory military service duty.
“BIGHIT MUSIC is proud to announce today that members of BTS are moving forward with plans to fulfill their military service.”
BIGHIT MUSIC (HYBE).
According to the announcement, BTS military service enlistment will start with eldest hyung Jin. BTS Jin will start his military service enlistment procedure as soon as he completes his schedule for solo projects by the end of October.
Then, other BTS members will follow Jin’s footsteps and enlist in their military service after completing their own solo projects.
And finally, HYBE promises that BTS will be returning again as a group in 2025.
What Lies Behind BTS Military Service News
Following HYBE announcement about BTS military service news, various details and reports about what lies behind the statement began coming to light.
Previously, despite the strong public sentiments and all the massive homework they have given BTS, South Korean government insisted BTS go to military service. The government officials argued that the Kpop megastar would set a wonderful example for its fellow countrymen. And they also claimed that it was what the BTS members had always wanted.
And be the good citizen and role models they are, BTS and HYBE follow what the government wishes and proceed to their military enlistment. But little did we know that there are stories behind the BTS military news, and it’s time for you to find out!
BTS Jin Cancels His Request for Military Service Delay
Last year, BTS reportedly requested a military enlistment delay until the age of 30. This request allowed the group to stay together until December 2022 and conduct their final world tour.
Apparently, BTS eldest hyung Jin decided to cancel his request to delay military service. Instead, he would proceed with the enlistment protocol once he completes all his solo project schedules in October.
This brave initiation from BTS Jin gained praises from various Korean media outlets. Various Korean media praises Jin’s wisdom and bravery in setting a good example, not only for his fellow BTS members but also for the other fellow countrymen dongsaengs.
HYBE Promises Company Growth During BTS Military Service
After the news and statement of BTS military service emerged, HYBE circulated official letters and announcement to all its shareholders.
In the announcement, HYBE promises that the company with continue to grow during BTS military service. They stated that BTS military enlistment has never been a sudden event. The company has been making relentless efforts to dismiss the concerns that may happen due to BTS military enlistment.
As we all know, the public believes BTS is HYBE’s primary source of income. The group’s activities contribute to a significant percentage of the company’s profits, so shareholders are worried that HYBE won’t be able to survive once BTS is conducting its military duties.
However, in their new statement and announcement, HYBE explained that they would secure a firm foundation for continuous growth even with the absence of BTS. And everything is thanks to its multi-label system and innovative convergence in music and technology.
For your information, all these companies are under HYBE Label: BIGHIT MUSIC, PLEDIS Entertainment, BELIFT LAB, Source Music, KOZ Entertainment, and ADOR.
BTS Former Manager Shuts All Criticism with His Frustration and Post
Over these past few years, BTS has received various debates and criticism regarding their military service. Some people urged the members to immediately enlist in the military, while others demand BTS skip their duties altogether. And apparently, these criticisms have resulted in huge frustration, not only for BTS and their ARMY soulmates but also BTS most loyal former manager.
Following BTS military services news and statement, the local and international media continues to debate whether the country should have exempted them from military duties. These arguments and debates have triggered frustration for a former BTS loyal manager, Song Hobum.
Shutting down all the criticism and debate, Song Hobum posted a photo of BTS military service news with a caption:
“Yes. They are going. So please stop talking useless nonsense now!”
Song Hobum.
Song Hobum was a BTS manager and has been a long-time supporter of BTS. He accompanied BTS even before the group debuted and has shown an intensely close relationship with all the members. In fact, BTS attended and sang at his wedding and even posed with his adorable baby.
The Table Has Turned Against The South Korean Government
Eventually, after HYBE official announcement regarding BTS military enlistment, various news came to light that all this time, the South Korean government had been dragging BTS military exemption issue even without the members asking.
Korean media outlets began speculating that the South Korean government had taken advantage of BTS. They had been considering and dragging military exemption decisions simply for their own financial gain.
After all, the government had given many tasks to the Kpop megastar, one being the ambassador for World Expo 2030 Busan negotiation. And this is an extensive duty that will go on until next year when the BIE conducts its general assembly. Therefore, Busan officials have been pushing for an alternative service for the sake of this project.
With BTS Jin officially enlisting this December, the South Korean government has taken a huge blow. And that is especially when they wanted to drag their exemption decision based on the previous problematic World Expo 2030 Busan concert.
Korean media highly praises BTS for doing the right thing and proceeding with their military enlistment at the perfect time, just like they promised.
“We’ll be sure to go to the military when it’s time, so all the bastards who tried to sell our name to freeload off us, shut up.”
BTS Suga in “What Do You Think?” by Agust D.
If all the process for World Expo 2030 Busan negotiation starts after Jin enlisting, it is highly likely that BTS will continue serving as the ambassador in 6-member formation.
What Happens in 2025?
Finally, HYBE and BTS promise that they will return with an impactful comeback by 2025. Both BTS and HYBE envision a goal that by 2025, all BTS members will have completed their mandatory military service. It means that all BTS members, including maknae Jungkook will have to enlist by the end of next year.
So, what do you think about BTS military news and their 2025 promise? One thing is for sure, starting in October, all BTS fans must prepare themselves for a massive rain of content from all 7 BTS members. And they will all be legendary!
