One of the former Day6 members, Jae (Park Jae Hyung), was under massive fire, although he’d made an apology to Jamie after his ABUSIVE comment issue. So what REALLY happened, and what did he say? Here’s the COMPLETE story.
Former Day6 Jae Made ABUSIVE Comment about Singer Jamie
“You never really know about a person even when you’ve been friends with them for years.” This is what probably Jamie thought after knowing about Day6 Jae abusive comment issue. Even when Day6 Jae had posted a public apology, the general public continued to express disappointment about his actions.
On January 9, various media reported that former Day6 member, Jae (Park Jae Hyung), conducted a Livestream to converse with his viewers via Twitch. During his conversation, Day6 Jae talked about his friend, singer Jamie (formerly known as singer Jimin). In his comments, Day6 Jae made a clear and abusive comment and called Jamie a “thot”.
“Okay, now that I’m not in Kpop anymore, I can say this. Why is JAMIE trying to be a thot? That’s right, I said it, tell her! I said it. Tell her!”

Jamie Responded to Former Day6 Jae Comment Issue – She Was Disappointed
And when Jae asked, the public delivered. It was only a while after Jamie finally knew about former Day6 member Jae comment issue.
Once former Day6 member Jae comment issue circulated on the internet, Jamie replied with a response tweet. Indeed, she immediately deleted the post. However, in the deleted tweet, she sounded extremely disappointed with Jae comments about her, especially knowing how much she had cared about him.
After that, Jamie revised her response by deleting the tweet and posting another one, saying she was okay. She also stated her discontentment of how much women have to suffer and become subjects to appease men’s humor.
I'm just deleting it, I'm okay

What Does “THOT” Mean?
So, now that we know with what word Jae called Jamie in his comment and how much both Jamie and the public were angry and disappointed, you must wonder what is a “thot”?
According to Dictionary.com, people commonly use the word “thot” to refer to a woman who believed to be sexually provocative and promiscuous. This word also has a similar meaning to “whore” and “slut”.
Moreover, the word “thot” itself comes from an acronym T-H-O-T. This acronym stands for “That Ho (whore) Over There” or “Thirsty Hoes (whores) Over There”. Therefore, this term is incredibly insulting and offensive for women. If you plan to use this word in the future, you need to understand that this word comes with the intention of offending the woman in reference.
Former Day6 Jae and Jamie Have Been VERY Close Friends for a Long Time
On top of everything, what makes Day6 Jae comment issue a huge disappointment is because Jae and Jamie have actually been very close friends for a long time.
In fact, Day6 Jae also stated himself that he considered Jamie as a close friend and a badass queen. He also praised Jamie A LOT during his Livestream. Therefore, some people think even when Day6 Jae intended to make a friendly joke about his close friend, his word choice was highly inappropriate.

Jae Posted a Public Apology While Tagging Jamie’s Twitter Account
Finally, on the same day the issue circulated on the internet and social media, Day6 Jae immediately posted a public apology regarding his comment about Jamie. In his tweet, he also tagged Jamie’s official Twitter account, @jiminpark07.
According to his apology, Day6 Jae believed that what he said about her was just a “friendly banter”, or simply amusing jokes between friends. Besides, while he knew that it might sound like an excuse, he originally thought that the word he used to refer to Jamie was similar to “baddie”. He truly believed that “thot” and “baddie” have the same energy.

The General Public is STILL Skeptical Regarding Jae’s Apology
At the same time, even after Day6 Jae apologized, the general public still doesn’t believe that Jae misunderstood the word in reference. After all, apparently, Day6 Jae had been using the word several times, while referring to its actual negative connotation.
Firstly, Jae once posted a screenshot of a DM from a user calling him a “thot”. Knowing how Jae had replied the message, the public believes that he actually knows the its real meaning and negative connotation.
Secondly, once he mentioned the word in the Twitch Livestream, Day6 Jae also stated that Jamie might not be happy with his words.
“She’s going to be so pissed.
I can’t believe she’s like a little sister to me. Please, lawyers, don’t call me. I have no money. JAMIE, I’m poor. I have no money, Man. Please, just let me be. I’m sorry, I take it back.”
