Join us as we dive deeper into the blackmail case behind the cause of the death of “Parasite” actor Lee Sun Kyun.
Korean Media and YouTuber Expose the Woman Behind Lee Sun Kyun’s Blackmail Case
The identity of the woman behind the blackmail case and controversies that cause the death of Lee Sun Kyun has now become public.
On December 30, an intriguing post appeared on the community page of a Korean YouTuber called “Caracula Crime Lab,” also known as “Caracula Detective.” The YouTuber allegedly provided unauthorized disclosure regarding the identity of the woman behind Lee Sun Kyun’s tragic death and its cause.
Furthermore, the post asked for information from the public regarding the woman and its further cases. Along with the announcement, they published unblurred photos of the blackmail perpetrator.
“Seeking information from anyone duped, threatened, or who has seen child abuse by Park XX, a single mother born in 1995 in Wonju. She lives in the same building as Madam Kim Nam Hee from Good Place and claims to be a hacker involved in blackmail.”

A Professional Con Artist? “Parasite” Actor Lee Sun Kyun was NOT Her First Blackmail Case!
Along with the photos, Caracula shared a more dramatic turn in the blackmail story. Korean media and the YouTuber reportedly suspected the woman to be a professional con artist.
As per a December 28th report by Kookmin Ilbo, it turns out Park had allegedly conned several men out of vast sums, using the pretense of pregnancy.
She reportedly met these men through a social app popular among office workers. Park convinced them to hand over money for various reasons, such as needing funds for an abortion or medical treatments for a safe childbirth. She often uses statements, including:
- “I’m pregnant. I’m gonna need money for abortion surgery.”
- “Hospital treatments will be necessary for the child to be born safe and sound.”
The plot thickens with Park’s arrest on December 28. She will be facing charges of extorting money from “Parasite” actor Lee Sun Kyun. Previously, Lee Sun Kyun desperately borrowed 300 million KRW (around 231,744 USD) from his acquaintance. He used it to pay room salon manager Kim Nam Hee and another 50 million KRW (around 38,624 USD) to this ‘Park’ woman.
The Incheon District Court, after a thorough review, eventually issued an arrest warrant for Park, citing concerns that she might flee or tamper with evidence.
It was not surprising as the same woman had reportedly tried to escape. She reportedly failed to appear at her scheduled court hearing. Therefore, the police searched and arrested her.
Behind the Cause of Death of Lee Sun Kyun was a Former Movie Star: An Irony
In a twist laden with irony, the cause behind Lee Sun Kyun’s death is linked to a former movie star. This revelation came as netizens delved into Park’s background, uncovering her prior forays into acting.
According to reports from News 1 and others, searches on a popular portal site now categorize Park as a ‘movie actress’, complete with her profile image.
Further digging by these inquisitive netizens revealed that Park’s acting career included roles in two films. Notably, she played a lead role in a film during her high school years in 2012 and later appeared in a minor role in a 2015 film.
YouTuber Lee Jin Ho Exposes Park’s Threats to the Late “Parasite” Actor
On December 28, Lee Jin Ho, a YouTuber known for his background in entertainment journalism, released a bombshell video. He showcased a series of menacing messages Ms. Park had sent to the late actor Lee Sun Kyun, renowned for his role in “Parasite”.
In these messages, Park threatened Lee Sun Kyun. She wanted the “Parasite” actor to reclaim the money he had given the room salon manager, Madam Kim, and transfer it to Park. What’s worse, Park also demanded Lee Sun Kyun not reveal anything to the public so he would not lose his honor.
“I’ve wasted too much time because of Kim, and I plan to get her arrested for drug use. But I need to get the money back. Ask her to return all the money she had taken.
If this gets out and reaches the National Intelligence Service, then I will take action. There will be new reactions and news stories everywhere.
Hopefully, actor Lee Sun Kyun won’t lose his honor merely because of that Gangnam drug addict madam.
So, let’s settle for 200 million KRW, and I will get her arrested so there will be no further harm.
Get the 300 million KRW back by 6 PM tomorrow and contact me.”
– Park.
The Blackmail Mastermind & The Drug Case ‘Traitor’
Along with the threats, YouTuber Lee Jin Ho also exposed that Park was the mastermind behind the blackmail case against “Parasite” actor Lee Sun Kyun.
According to Lee Jin Ho, room salon manager Kim was the one who asked for 300 million KRW from Lee Sun Kyun. However, Park was the mastermind behind the blackmail, who then received 50 million KRW from the “Parasite” actor.
Madam Kim and Park developed a close relationship during their time in prison. After their release, they lived in the same officetel, one above the other. The two women were so close they even shared their phone passwords.
Unexpectedly, it turned out that Park played a critical role in the arrest of Madam Kim. She was the one who reported Madam Kim’s suspected drug use to the police. And she was also the person who submitted Madam Kim’s hair as evidence. She even told the police that Madam Kim had repeatedly dyed her hair to avoid drug allegations.
In addition, Park has spread Madam Kim’s personal information to several YouTubers and media, along with some recordings and documents. She then asked Lee Sun Kyun to give her 200 million KRW (154,496 USD) and demanded Madam Kim return the money she had extorted.
Finally, the revelation of Park’s identity has also triggered mixed reactions. Is it really appropriate to expose the identity of a perpetrator even when they have committed a severe crime? Please share your thoughts in the comments and stay with us for more updates.
