While it is perfectly true that we all should love each and every BTS member equally, just as they have requested, it is entirely understandable that fans have that one member who weighs differently in their heart. We commonly call this favorite member of a Kpop group: a bias. Why? Because we will always have a biased opinion about them. After all, they’re our favorites!

As one of the high-profile ARMY, even WWE champion and actor John Cena couldn’t help but admit that he had his favorite BTS member or bias.

On January 13, during his Q&A games on The Ellen Show, Ellen DeGeneres pressed an automatic random question that asked: ‘Who’s Your Favorite Member of BTS?’ to John Cena. And to this question, John Cena answered that his favorite BTS member was ‘RM and J-Hope’!

That’s right! John Cena has TWO biases. And he answered IMMEDIATELY—just like that, without a pause—as if he had been waiting for this time to say it out loud. Even when he had mentioned it several times already, John Cena still answered the question enthusiastically.

Along with his enthusiastic answer, John Cena also shared his respect to BTS and BTS ARMY for all their philanthropic works and messages.

“Not only I love their fanbase—I think the BTS ARMYs are unbelievable—I love what they do philanthropically and their message.”

Why John Cena Considers RM and J-Hope His BTS Biases?

Furthermore, one of the most popular reasons a fan loves their Kpop bias is usually because of their visual or voice. However, that is NOT the case for John Cena.

During his interview with Ellen, John Cena admitted that the main reason why his favorite BTS members are RM and J-Hope was that they’re the lyricists of the group. And not only that, John Cena also loves RM and J-Hope because they have the rap style of hip-hop that John Cena loves.

“RM and J-Hope because they’re the lyricist guys.

And they also rap like my style of hip-hop, like the 80s and 90s boom-bap stuff. It’s cool to see them use some of those beats on—like—outros for their early albums.”

John Cena Blushed Like a Little Kid After His Enthusiastic Explanation

Moreover, seeing John Cena explaining why he loved his BTS bias with HUGE enthusiasm, Ellen just couldn’t help but tease him, which then caused him to blush like a shy little kid. And Ellen was not alone. Many celebrities seemed surprised at how much John Cena praises BTS with tremendous enthusiasm and excitement. After that, he tried shyly ending the subject by wishing BTS a happy rest.

“They’re taking a break right now. I wish them happy rest and hope everything’s going well for them.”

Did John Cena Meet His Favorite BTS Member?

Unfortunately, despite him being a long-time fan of BTS since he first mentioned the group in February 2018, John Cena has yet to meet any of BTS members in person up to this point. However, he still wishes to have the chance to meet BTS directly and even openly shares his jealousy at other celebrities who get the chance.

At last, let us all cheer for John Cena so his message can reach his favorite BTS member, and he would be able to finally meet them in person. After all, this love is mutual between John Cena and BTS because BTS also said once that they had wanted to see him.

“We want to see him. He’s a big fan of us, and we’re the big fan [of him], yeah it’s like, mutually, of course!”
