Jay Park to Step Down as CEO of AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC
The 34-year-old rapper took Instagram to drop this shocking announcement. He shared multiple pictures in one post on his personal Instagram account, along with a lengthy caption to announce the farewell:
“After a lot of thought and taking time to organize my emotions I’ve decided to step down as the CEO of AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC. I know this may be shocking to a lot of people but I will remain as an advisor for both labels and we will continue to be a family and a crew. I want to thank all the fans that have trusted in me and supported me in all my endeavors and I hope you guys continue to support Aomg, H1ghr Music, and I and all the things we do for many years to come. As for all the Artists and employees at AOMG and H1ghr music, I want to sincerely thank you guys for entrusting your futures at these two labels that I’ve founded and it’s really an honor to build this together and to continue to make history side by side. I don’t take it for granted for one second and it will always be near and dear to my heart. I’m not perfect but I’ve always tried my best and I will continue to try my best. I love you all. Thank you and Happy new year.”

Why would Jay Park Step Down as CEO?
Debuting with Kpop boy group 2PM, Jay Park went separate ways and shined as a solo star and entrepreneur. Jay Park grows as a well-known rapper who founded AOMG in 2013 individually. And in 2017, he founded H1GHR MUSIC with producer Cha Cha Malone. Since then, Jay Park has been leading the two labels respectively.
The rapper’s sudden decision to step down from the position as CEO of both AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC shocked fans. However, though we don’t get to see what is happening behind the scene, we believe that Jay Park has his considerations in making the decision. And we’re looking forward to what lies in the future of AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC after jay Park’s resignation.
I’m still processing this, and I have a lot to say, but for now, all I need to say is, Jay, whatever you do, wherever you go, I support you and I love you.
