Woo Do Hwan new comeback drama after military discharge, “Hunting Dogs”, may be undergoing a huge change. After involving herself in a drunk driving car accident, actress Kim Sae Ron is putting Netflix “Hunting Dogs” new drama starring Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi, in a difficult situation.
On May 18, the Seoul Gangnam Police arrested Kim Sae Ron due to a drunk driving car accident. She caused terrible damage both to the roadside structure and local businesses. This damage had caused not only her reputation to plummet but also her upcoming projects and fellow actors to suffer irreparable consequences, including Netflix new drama, “Hunting Dogs”.

On May 23, Netflix “Hunting Dogs” drama production team reported that Kim Sae Ron decided to step down from the rest of the project. Even though most of the filming process of all the other actors have already completed, Kim Sae Ron decided to leave the drama after her accident.

As a result of Kim Sae Ron leaving her new drama with Woo Do Hwan, Netflix “Hunting Dogs”, the production team must delay its release date. That is because actress Kim Sae Ron actually played an important role in the whole storyline of the webtoon-adapted drama. Therefore, her stepping down from Netflix “Hunting Dogs” drama resulted in a huge change in the entire drama production.
Besides, Netflix “Hunting Dogs” has completed most of its filming process and is currently in editing stage. Therefore, it is almost impossible to replace Kim Sae Ron and reshoot all the character scenes. That is why the production team is still contemplating what to do with Kim Sae Ron’s part in the drama.

Kim Sae Ron Suffers Huge Aftermath Following Her DUI Car Accident
Following her DUI car accident, actress Kim Sae Ron must suffer huge aftermath.
Previously, after posting her official apology in a handwritten letter, Kim Sae Ron decided to step down from her new SBS drama, “Trolley”. But, then, her plummeting reputation had also caused her to step down from remaining filming of Netflix “Hunting Dogs” new drama with Woo Do Hwan.
In addition, her movie project “Us, Day by Day” has just completed its filming process and is waiting for a release date announcement. However, due to Kim Sae Ron accident, the movie is now under a temporary halt.
Not only that, Kim Sae Ron had caused severe damage to the electric transformer box. As a result, the maintenance team must repair the unit, and the process lasted for about 5 hours. During this time, local commerce surrounding the area didn’t have any choice but to close their business.
Therefore, a representative from KEPCO reported that Kim Sae Ron had reached out to take responsibility. She then paid a total of 20 million KRW (approximately 15,828 USD) to replace the electric transformer box. At the same time, Kim Sae Ron was also in the middle of negotiating settlements with the local businesses suffering from the aftermath of her accident.
Fortunately, her insurance will reportedly cover all the damage she has caused.

The price currently listed on news articles is an estimate we received from the Korea Electric Power Corporation soon after the accident. The actual amount is currently being settled by the insurance company.

Fortunately, even if Kim Sae Ron decided to step down from the remaining filming, Netflix clarified that she would not leave the series altogether. Therefore, the production team decided to edit and modify all her existing footage. After all, if Kim Sae Ron really left after her accident, Netflix “Hunting Dogs” will be losing one of its key characters.
