Since the release of “MASCARA,” XG has been soaring on charts. “MASCARA” reached #1 on the iTunes Song Chart (Alternative) in 17 countries and ranked #25 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart, a chart collecting results from 175 countries worldwide.

XG on TV music shows

Following the track’s release, XG also appeared on several popular Korean TV music shows. On June 30, XG made their first appearance on Mnet’s M COUNTDOWN. This performance video was uploaded after the show aired and has been viewed more than 1.44 million times (as of July 12).

Meanwhile, the video of their performance on SBS’s THE SHOW (broadcasted July 5) ranked first on YouTube Japan’s fastest-rising list.

The girls, who are all newcomers, have such stage presence that they are scheduled to appear on five Korean music shows in a row this week, just one week after the release of “MASCARA.” This is unprecedented for a debut group with all Japanese members.
