XG made history as the headliners at “a-nation 2025,” Japan’s largest summer music event, and boasts the highest cumulative audience attendance in the country. After the performance, XG announced they will release their first full-length album at the beginning of next year.
“a-nation 2025” – A Festival Performance to Remember
The global girl group became the main performer at the “a-nation 2025” on August 30, 2025, at Tokyo’s Ajinomoto Stadium. “a-nation 2025” was actually XG’s first music festival appearance since Coachella 2025.
When the members appeared in specially designed costumes, the audience greeted them with thunderous applause.
XG opened with high-energy tracks “TGIF” and “SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT,” instantly setting the festival on fire with their dynamic sound and performance style. The crowd danced and sang along to “NEW DANCE”, while leader JURIN hyped the audience:
“Since this is the last show today, I hope it’s a truly wonderful time where we can all feel like we’re traveling through space together!”
From the Billboard-topping “GRL GVNG” to the viral all-rap track “WOKE UP”, XG delivered a sophisticated yet fierce performance. Their 50-minute set featured 13 songs, including fan favorites “MASCARA”, “LEFT RIGHT”, and their global hit “SHOOTING STAR”, ending with a spectacular firework display.
Surprise Album Announcement
Just when fans thought the night was over, the big screen lit up with footage of HARVEY opening her eyes through rising smoke — unveiling the surprise that XG will release their highly anticipated first full-length album on January 23, 2026.

September 1–7, 2025: The XG 1st WORLD TOUR “The first HOWL” Exhibition lands at Harajuku Laforet Museum, featuring exclusive tour photos, costumes, videos, and limited-edition merchandise.
October 2025: The group kicks off their “CHINA FESTIVAL TOUR“, performing at major music festivals including MDSK Music Festival (Beijing), Strawberry Music Festival (Guangzhou), and Luzhou Galaxy Left Bank Festival (Luzhou).
October 11–12, 2025: XG will also perform at “Coca-Cola X Fes 2025” at Saitama Super Arena.
