“Goodbye Earth” New Korean Drama Storyline and Cast
“Goodbye Earth” weaves a compelling narrative set against the backdrop of an impending apocalypse, with a comet set to collide with Earth in just 200 days.
This Netflix series delves deep into the chaos that engulfs the world as the end looms near, spotlighting the resilience and struggles of individuals as they navigate through these tumultuous times. Starring Yoo Ah In, Ahn Eun Jin, and Jeon Sung Woo, this series promises a blend of intense drama and raw emotion, brought to life by a stellar cast.
Filming has already concluded, setting the stage for what promises to be a captivating exploration of humanity’s fight for survival in the face of ultimate destruction. And yet, everything is on an indefinite halt for now.
Will They Air the Series?
Previously, Netflix has scheduled the released date of “Goodbye Earth” new Korean drama at the end of 2023. However, due to the massive drug scandal involving its main cast, Yoo Ah In, the series must undergo indefinite postponement. Moreover, Netflix has also chosen to go silent and refrain from delivering further comments on the issue. That is why fans have been waiting in frustration for further announcement and decision from the OTT platform.
Not only “Goodbye Earth” but “Hellbound 2” also went on a crisis due to Yoo Ah In’s scandal. But thankfully, Netflix had resolved the issues and “Hellbound 2” became one of the platform’s upcoming 2024 programs.
Unfortunately, since Yoo Ah In was the main cast of “Goodbye Earth”, and seeing how the new Korean drama had completed its filming, revising the series would be almost impossible. Therefore, Netflix must find other alternatives so they can finally air the series without involving Yoo Ah In.
But is that truly possible? Do you think “Goodbye Earth” will eventually air? Or will Netflix cancel the series instead? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
