Following the previous dating report between actor Lee Min Ho and former Momoland, Yeonwoo, the agency denied the emerging rumor about the actor breaking South Korean quarantine rules in the “dating photos”.

On August 30, Korean media reported that Lee Min Ho MYM Entertainment agency released an official explanation. According to the agency, the photos that started the dating rumor between Lee Min Ho and Yeonwoo were taken long before the quarantine rules were applied.

The Gathering Involves Four Persons and Took Place Before the Quarantine

Furthermore, MYM Entertainment explained that the gathering that started the dating rumors of Lee Min Ho and Yeonwoo had involved four persons. We can see one of the four people sitting in the passenger seat.

Moreover, the gathering between Lee Min Ho and his friends dated back to July 1. Therefore, since the South Korean social distancing rules started on July 12, the rumor of Lee Min Ho breaking quarantine rules was entirely false.

Allegations of Lee Min Ho Breaking South Korean Social Distancing Rules

Previously, Lee Min Ho and Yeonwoo dating rumors emerged when South Korean media, Dispatch, released exclusive photos. In the pictures, Lee Min Ho and Yeonwo were seen going out and entering a car together.

Immediately after the rumor started, Lee Min Ho MYM Entertainment agency denied, saying that the photos were not of a date. That is because more people were actually present at the time.

Did Lee Min Ho Break Any Quarantine Rules?

This statement then triggered whether Lee Min Ho and Yeonwo had been breaking the South Korean quarantine rules.

Starting from July 12, the Seoul Metropolitan area applied the fourth stage of social distancing rules. According to the rules, only four or fewer people are allowed to gather for personal events before 6 PM. Next, after 6 PM, the government only allows a gathering of 2 people.

However, since the Lee Min Ho agency stated that the gathering occurred on July 1, it means that Lee Min Ho did not break any quarantine rules. That is because before July 12, the authorities allowed private meetings up to 4 people after 6 PM.
