The upcoming Korean drama ‘Yumi’s Cells’ is adapted from a Webtoon with the same title written by Lee Dong Geun. The original run was from April 1, 2015, to November 13, 2020, with 512 episodes released on Saturdays on Naver Webtoon.
2. Best collaboration of director and writers.
A talented director, Lee Sang Yeob is directing the romance, comedy, and fantasy genre of Kdrama, Yumi’s Cells. Two of his notable projects were “Shopping King Louie,” starring Seo In Guk and Nam Ji Hyun, and “A Piece of Your Mind,” starring Jung Hae In and Chae Soo Bin.
While Song Jae Jung (Memories of the Alhambra), Kim Yoo Joo (Find me in Your Memory), and Kim Kyung Ran team up writing the script.

‘Yumi’s Cells will mark the comeback for Kim Go Eun to the small screen after the success of The King of Eternal Monarch in 2020. In ‘Yumi’s Cells,’ she will play as a girl named Yumi, a 32-year-old introverted girl who is looking for love.
She is just an ordinary office worker who lives with thousands of tiny blue-hooded cells. Her prime cell, aka the love cell, wears a bright blue suit with a hood. Meanwhile, some of them wear a pink hood and cape along with a white suit. They control her every mood, thought, and action.
5. In Yumi’s Cells, Kim Go Eun will have adorable cells in 3D animation.
