BTS Receives Diplomatic Passport from South Korean President as Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generation and Culture

Signed, sealed, and delivered! BTS has officially received a diplomatic passport and certificate of appointment from the South Korean President as his Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generation and Culture.

BTS Visited South Korean President to Receive Certificate and Diplomatic Passport as Special Presidential Envoy

Following their appointment as Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generation and Culture, BTS has officially received certificate and diplomatic passport.

On September 14, the Kpop phenomenon, BTS, visited the Blue House to attend a ceremony with the South Korean President, Moon Jae In. Then, President Moon Jae In officially appointed BTS as his Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generation and Culture.

Furthermore, attending the ceremony wearing formal black suits, BTS members greeted the South Korean President Moon Jae In with a fist bump.

After that, the South Korean President presented a diplomatic passport, a certificate of appointment, and a fountain pen for each BTS member.

Finally, this ceremony officially marks BTS’s appointment as the South Korean Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generation and Culture.

BTS Appointment Ceremony Attended by Diplomatic Executives

In addition to BTS and President Moon Jae In, several other diplomatic executives were also present at the ceremony. First were the Chief of Staff Yoo Young Min and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Chung Eui Yong. Then, Director and Second Deputy Director Suh Hoon and Kim Hyung Jin from the South Korean National Security Office also attended the ceremony, along with HYBE representatives.

BTS Duties as a Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generation and Culture

Furthermore, as a Special Presidential Envoy, BTS will accompany President Moon Jae In in his visit to the United States from September 19 – 23.

BTS’s very first duty is to attend the Sustainable Development Goals Moment (SDG Moment) on September 20. This event will occur at the 76^th United Nations General Assembly in 7 World Trade Center, New York.

Moreover, President Moon Jae In has tasked BTS to share a consolation message and hope to the worldwide youth at the event. Therefore, they will be delivering the message in the form of a speech and video performance.
