Say goodbye to Papa Mochi! “The Late Late Show with James Corden” has hit the lowest rating following fans’ backlash, deposing him of his BTS “Papa Mochi” title after a “disrespectful” video comment.
James Corden Received Backlash about His BTS Comments and Deleted the Video: Lowest Rating and No More Papa Mochi!
After receiving backlash for his inconsiderate comments, the famous late-night show host, James Corden, has been stripped down of his BTS “Papa Mochi” title.
On September 22, The Late Late Show with James Corden” posted a video commenting about the BTS speech at UN, which gone viral immediately. Even though the show deleted the footage right away, fans are discussing the video contents, resulting in James Corden losing his BTS “Papa Mochi” title and lowest rating in Google and IMDb.
Here are at least 3 reasons why James Corden is no longer BTS “Papa Mochi”.
3 Reasons Why James Corden No Longer BTS “Papa Mochi”
1. He Referred to BTS as “Unusual” Visitors
The first reason for fans’ anger towards James Corden is that he referred to BTS members as “unusual” visitors. Despite knowing that BTS had previously been to the United Nations, James Corden made the remark, and it triggered fans’ protests.
jimin said: “I believe this is our second visit. Including our online address, this is our third visit to the UN. Now tell me how the hell they are unusual visitors??? I expected way better from James Corden. pic.twitter.com/JncU0zk13j

1. It wasn’t “unusual” for BTS to be there. They’ve been 3 times. 2. They weren’t “visiting”. They were Presidental Envoys who were invited to speak. 3. Teen girls are valid, innovative, smart, & set a lot of trends although we aren’t all teens or girls. #JamesCorden pic.twitter.com/5SZLqS3Z7l

2. James Corden Stated BTS Leaves No Choice for World Leaders
Secondly, James Corden also stated in his video comment:
“Although lots of people are saying why are BTS there, the world leaders have no choice but to take BTS seriously.”
The Late Late Show With James Corden.
Many fans believe that this comment is highly disrespectful towards BTS and ARMY. It implies that world leaders only paid attention to BTS because of their fanbase. Besides, they also believed that the comment disregards BTS’s long history of perseverance and hard work that created such a massive fanbase.
I also have an issue with “The world leaders have no choice but to take BTS seriously bc they have one of the largest armies”, like ??? Shouldn’t respect be given regardless. They were officially designated as special presidential envoys for who they are/what they stand for

James corden said that world leaders have no CHOICE but to take BTS seriously as apparently they have biggest army in the world he indirectly said BTS is there because they have huge fanbase and not cause of their hardwork. They have worked their asses off for more than 10yrs now!

3. He Referred to ARMY as “15-Year-Olds.”
Finally, in the closing remark, James Corden also mentioned:
“Historic moment. It actually marks the first time that 15-year-old girls everywhere found themselves wishing that they were Secretary General António Guterres.”
The Late Late Show With James Corden.
This comment triggered objections, especially because James Corden himself should know that BTS fans, ARMY, has members of wide-ranging age. In fact, he has once invited one of the most popular ARMY fans before:
.@johncena‘s explanation for his love of @BTS_twt is so good and it perfectly sums up why we’re so excited to have the boys on the show tonight! #BTSxCorden pic.twitter.com/VZ6rtf4l4W

Due to this comment, fans from different age range started proving that BTS’ ARMY does not only consist of 15-year-olds and that the statement was simply disrespectful.
really want to show this to that James Corden pic.twitter.com/UG8jtMstUl

According to James Corden, the entire ARMY of 90 million people are 15 year old girls, who have no aspirations. According to him, BTS is “unusual”
— TaeVibeCheck (@aditi_wth) September 22, 2021
His statements are disrespectful to not only BTS, but girls, and teenagers as well. #disappointed
@JKCorden, adressing all ARMYs “15 year old girls” is very disrespectful. You might take this as a joke, but to us, IT’S NOT. you’ve been a good friend to BTS but why sudden utter this obnoxious thing to all of their fans?? I’M DISAPPOINTED pic.twitter.com/PBNMGlqxm2

James corden should delete Papa Mochi from his bio, he’s not papa mochi anymore pic.twitter.com/azdWizOsKr

As we all know, he got this title from a carpool session with BTS. At the time, BTS Jimin pointed at him and said, “You papa mochi.”
1 year ago, Park Jimin gave a “Papa Mochi” nickname to James Corden during their Carpool Karaoke. And today, September 22 — Corden negatively dominated the social media and broke the trust of BTS and Armys! It’s about time to shove off the magic shop and that title. @BTS_twt pic.twitter.com/OEFEZdOTd4
