The REAL Possible Reason Behind the “Unexpected Personal Matter”
Indeed, there has yet been any official announcements from both BTS and Megan Thee Stallion. However, dedicated fans have speculated that the REAL reason behind the canceled AMAs 2021 “Butter” performance of Megan Thee and BTS is because the diva is still grieving.
As a matter of fact, a few days before, Megan Thee Stallion had just lost someone incredibly dear to her. Her good friend for whom she used to play music every day has unfortunately passed away in an incident.
She posted it on her ig few of days ago. Young Dolph, who is a well known rapper in my hometown of Memphis, Tn was tragically murdered Thursday. He was a good friend of hers so she’s taking it really hard. Once she’s ready, they’ll perform together (Hopefully at the concerts)

Megan’s Post About Her Best Friend on Instagram
Fans started making speculations after noticing that Megan Thee Stallion had posted about her good friend’s death on Instagram a few days before. Megan posted a photo of an American rapper, Young Dolph, and stated in the caption:
Young Dolph: American Talented Rapper and Megan’s Good Friend Killed in a Shooting
Several days before announcing the canceled performance of Megan Thee x BTS “Butter” at the American Music Awards (AMAs) 2021, American rapper and Megan’s good friend, Adolph Robert Thornton Jr, also known as Young Dolph, had been reported killed in a shooting incident. According to Memphis police, the incident happened at a renowned bakery, Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies. Also, they were still investigating the motive behind the shooting.
Regardless of whether this incident is the REAL reason behind the canceled performance of Megan Thee x BTS “Butter” at the AMAs 2021, the music industry is currently mourning the death of talented American Rapper, Young Dolph. Therefore, let us all pay our respect and hope that Young Dolph will rest in peace. And most importantly, let us give his friends and family time to grieve.
What to Expect at the 2021 American Music Awards (AMAs)?
In the end, we don’t need to worry because we still have various expectations happening on BTS “Butter” stage even if Megan cannot attend in person. Also, don’t forget that we still have one more collaboration of BTS and Coldplay in their superhit single, “My Universe”.
Therefore, BTS will still be ROCKING the stage at the 2021 American Music Awards (AMAs)!
