88Rising’s Asia Rising Forever online concert successfully held on May 7, 2020. This special event was the first digital concert organized by 88Rising. The music festival was streaming on 88Raising’s Twitter and YouTube channel. Dumbfoundead, a rapper-actor, hosted the online concert right from his living room in Los Angeles.
88Rising, an Asian-centered entertainment company based in America, is in partnership with Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAAJ) for this event. It is not only to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month but also to raise a fund of $30,000. The raised donation is to overcome racial discrimination against Asians due to Covid-19.

After months of coronavirus “stay at home” quarantine, many people feel extremely bored. Asia Rising Forever is part of many free online concerts during coronavirus concern. For four hours, there were exclusive interviews, live performances of some artists, and fun games.

In Asia Rising Forever online concert, 88Rising presented a diverse type of music. Aside from hip hop singers, they also invited pop and indie-rock singers like KPop singers Kang Daniel, CLC, Loona, Jackson Wang, Lim Kim, and Hyukoh for the online concert. Indeed, with a variety of music types, many people are attracted to see online concert streaming.
3. CLC & Kang Daniel in Pajamas
CLC sang one of their songs, which is “Me.” Then, they do dance cover reaction together. They did a pre-recorded performance with the theme of a pajama party. Meanwhile, Kang Daniel performed in a cool style that looks homey as well straight from his apartment in Seoul.
The CEO of KONNECT Ent. appeared with a homey but stylish look. He was wearing round sunglasses, navy blue with little owl pattern pajamas, and a pair of house slippers, and then he sang “Interview” after giving an introduction. 4. Rich Brian VS Kang Daniel Dance Battle
Rich Brian and Kang Daniel had a dance battle in this online concert. There were three parts in the dance battle with Joji’s song called Gimme Love. Both of them are excellent dancers with their styles. First-round, Rich Brian won the battle. Meanwhile, Kang Daniel won the rest two rounds of the game.
5. Jackson Wang
Jackson Wang (GOT7) surprised many viewers. Wearing a black shirt and jeans, he sang a song called “100 ways” at ease. Although he performed only one song, his vocal impressed many viewers.

Kpop girl group LOONA performed in this virtual concert as a special guest. With complete group members, LOONA had an exclusive interview and sang three of their songs called “So What, Number One, Colors.” Then on the next performance, three members of LOONA; Yves, Chuu, and Heejin sang in an unplugged version of “I Like U” by NIKI.
7. Have Fun and Do Good
All Asian artists who performed brought positive vibes and inspiration. These mean a lot for the people around the world during the pandemic. All donations during the online concert will be given to the nonprofit Asian Americans Advancing Justice.
8. Reaction and New KPop Fans Rising
More than three million viewers were live-streamed this special online concert. Many of them are happy that they can feel positive vibes in the mid of hard moments like now. Moreover, KPop fans are increasing with the appearance of Kang Daniel at the online concert. Many people fall in love with him and his performance.
