On February 23, Netflix announced that the Korean box office movie “The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure,” which premiered in Korean cinemas last January 2022, will be available for you to watch on the platform.
The Korean movie prequel to “The Pirates,” also known as “The Pirates 2: The Goblin Flag,” has drawn K-movie lovers’ attention since its posters were released. Ten days after the movie was premiered, it became the first South Korean movie to hit one million moviegoers at the Korean movie box office in 2022.
Many k-movie lovers in foreign countries were looking forward to watch the movie, and Netflix heard it! Soon, K-movie lovers worldwide can watch the adventure of “The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure” cast members; Han Hyo Joo, Kang Ha Neul, Lee Kwang Soo, Oh Se Hun (EXO Sehun), Kwon Sang Woo, and Chae Soo Bin in discovering the sea to search for the hidden treasure of the royal family on Netflix.

“The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure” follows the story of a group of pirates who raise their sails and hope to find the hidden royal treasures. However, when the elements turn against them and the border between folklore and reality blurs, they quickly discover that certain quests are better left unfinished.
The action-adventure movie is directed by Kim Jung Hoon. Meanwhile, Chun Sung Il, who wrote the script of “The Pirates,” also wrote “The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure” script. His other famous work is the recent popular K-drama with the zombie theme, “All of Us Are Dead.”
