Korean Courses in Universities Using Learn KOREAN With BTS Book Package

BTS is beyond music as they will release Learn Korean with BTS book package as part of the Korean language education program. This program is a collaboration between an educational corporation under Big Hit Entertainment, Big Hit Edu, with the Korea Foundation (KF), and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

Learn Korean with BTS Program on Weverse

‘Learn Korean with BTS’ will release tomorrow at 2PM KST 🇰🇷 | 11AM BDT 🇧🇩 on Weverse.

In March 2020, the BTS launched learn Korean with BTS program on the Weverse app. It is a free language learning program to help BTS fans, ARMY, understand simple words and grammar through BTS members’ conversation in an easy and fun way. The learning is using short clips from BTS content like Run BTS and Bangtan Bomb.

On August 12, three representatives from the Big Hit Edu, Korea Foundation(KF), and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies has signed an MOU to promote Korean education in foreign countries.

Through this agreement, the three entities will contribute their expertise to fulfill the growing number of Korean studies demands in foreign countries, by conducting KF e-school Korean courses for universities abroad and promoting the understanding of the Korean language.

Big Hit Edu will produce Learn KOREAN with BTS books developed and supervised by the Korea Language Contents Research Institute at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. The Learn Korean with BTS book package will be released on August 24 on Weverse.

The program will start from the upcoming fall semester in 2020 with remote learning. First universities that will be offering Korean course using the program are:

Middlebury College (United States), École Normale Supérieure (France), EDHEC Business School (France), Ain Shams University (Egypt), Hanoi National University of Foreign Studies, and Thang Long University (Vietnam).

In the future, Big Hit Edu, Korean Foundation, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies are planning to continue and expand the program to other foreign countries.
