XG Continues to Mesmerize the World with ‘[XG TAPE #2] GALZ XYPHER (COCONA, MAYA, HARVEY, JURIN)’
On November 17, The group released a new video of their rap line – Cocona, Maya, Harvey, and Jurin. The video titled ‘[XG TAPE #2] GALZ XYPHER (COCONA, MAYA, HARVEY, JURIN)’ has enthralled fans worldwide.
The video begins with Cocona performing her version of ‘Surround Sound’ by J.I.D featuring 21 Savage & Baby Tate. Then, a smooth, black-and-white transition brings us to Maya, performing her version of ‘Down Bad’ by Dreamville featuring J.I.D, Bas, J. Cole, Earth Gang, and Young Nudy.
Harvey continues the video with ‘I WON,’ originally by Ty Dolla $ign, Jack Harlow, & 24K Goldn. And last but not least, Jurin powerfully claims herself as the rapper goddess with ‘Saoko’ originally by Rosalia.
The video reached number 10 on the Japan YouTube chart, as well as surpassing 1 million views within four days. Video of COCONA’s rap hit 5 million views and 1 million likes in four days on TikTok, generating a large number of UGC and reaction videos from outside Japan.
UPDATE: [XG TAPE #2] Surround Sound (TEST VIDEO / COCONA)
Today, an additional video featuring a separate take of COCONA’s rap, titled “TEST VIDEO,” was released. Using the same track as “GALZ XYPHER,” the footage was filmed during rehearsals and features raw studio sounds. Additional videos for the other three members are likely to be released soon, hopefully providing more ammunition XG’s viral rap performances, a genre where the group truly shines.
