The MNet’s survival show, I-LAND, just finished airing on September 18 (KST). During the live final, the name of the I-Land Kpop boy group to debut announced as ENHYPEN, which will consist of seven members.
Big Hit Entertainment is in partnership with CJ E&M through a joint venture, The Belift Lab (BELIF+), created I-LAND. The variety show program of the new Kpop boy group to debut was airing for the first time on June 26. On the I-Land finale, Bang Si Hyuk as the Big Hit Entertainment founder and CEO, conveyed his appreciation to the producers, rookie development team, staff, and the trainees, and he shared his support for the participants.

Meaning of ENHYPEN
On the final show reveals the new KPop Boy Group that will make a debut named ENHYPEN. The host of I-LAND, Namkoong Min, explained the meaning of it, “Just like hyphens, the members of ENHYPEN will connect, discover each other, and grow together.”
Bang Si Hyuk reveals the meaning of the group’s name, ENHYEPEN.
“When I heard the idea for the group’s name for the first time, I thought that it would be fit for their identity as well as the role that I want them to play in this era. Besides, they have gone through a long audition. Also, they have started as trainees and have become artists. So, they have connected, discovered, as well as grown together during the process.”
He continued,
“Ahead, as artists, I want them to connect people and generations. Since we have many gaps in this world, I hope they can connect the world too.”
