BTS Jungkook Deleted His Instagram Account And Won’t Come Back to The Platform

On February 28, a sudden announcement on Weverse that Jungkook deleted his Instagram account makes ARMY worry more about BTS golden maknae.

Jungkook Deleted His Instagram After A Year and Two Months

Jungkook opened a personal Instagram account on December 6, 2021, alongside his fellow BTS members. When he opened his Instagram account, Jungkook reached an impressive 50 million followers. Since his Instagram debut, Jungkook has had quite a journey from the unique name that consisted of the entire alphabet except for j and k, videos of himself, and his live streams with millions of viewers.

On Weverse, Jungkook announced that his suddenly-disappeared Instagram account was not hacked but deliberately deleted.

“I left Instagram. It’s not hacked 😊
I just deleted it because I didn’t use it much. Don’t worry!”

Jungkook continued to declare that he would use Weverse more often.

Hehehehe, I never used it, what could I do? I will use Weverse every once in a while.”

And this is not a temporary decision, but Jungkook assures his fans he will not use Instagram in the future.

I deleted the app right away, and I don’t think I will use it again in the future! Letting you all know in advance!”

ARMY Concerns about Jungkook’s Safety

Jungkook’s sudden decision to delete his Instagram account raise concerns among ARMY. However, some ARMY sees it as Jungkook taking a precautionary measure against the sasaeng (stalker).

Previously, ARMY started trending “Protect Our Jungkook” on Twitter, as an alleged sasaeng obtained Jungkook’s private information and intended to leak it on their Instagram account. The sasaeng also claimed to know who Jungkook was dating.

However, ARMY “don’t want to know any personal information about Jungkook,” and urged BigHit to investigate the matter.
