Many cast members of The Glory Korean drama have begun to find their new path and long-deserved fame. Actress Song Ji Woo may play a smaller part compared to the other famous actors, but her role as young Choi Hye Jeong played a crucial part with a massive impact throughout the story.

Choi Hye Jeong is one of the characters who took part in bullying Moon Dong Eun in The Glory Korean drama. Unlike the other bullies in the group, she came from an ordinary family. So, it placed her at the bottom of the food chain in Park Yeon Jin’s group.

Both as a teenager and adult, Choi Hye Jeong did whatever it takes to she can fit into Yeon Jin’s group, and that included taking part in bullying Moon Dong Eun and making out with the school teacher. She believed she didn’t have any choice but to do it if she wants to keep hanging out with her friends and not turned into the next Moon Dong Eun.

During its first episode, The Glory Korean drama showed a scene where teenage Park Yeon Jin and Choi Hye Jeong felt annoyed because Lee Sa Ra’s father kept inviting them to his church. Therefore, per Yeon Jin’s suggestion, the two girls finally went to the church while wearing thin white shirts with no bras underneath. As a result, patterns of the girls’ breasts clearly appeared from behind the thin shirt, making everyone uncomfortable.

This no-bra church scene from The Glory Korean drama immediately went viral. Many praised the bravery and professionalism of both actresses Shin Ye Eun and Song Ji Woo for going all-out in pulling off such amazing performances. And yet others scorned the scene because it was inappropriate for underage characters. After all, nobody knew whether both actresses truly filmed the scene without wearing a bra.

But rest assured. Today, actress Song Ji Woo finally revealed what really happened behind the no-bra church scene in The Glory Korean drama.

In an exclusive interview on March 28, actress Song Ji Woo revealed that the no-bra church scene in The GloryKorean drama was fully prepared by the whole cast and crew. The director had told them about all the details before filming, ensuring that both actresses were okay with such a scene. Therefore, even when she felt embarrassed at first, later on, she felt better.

What’s most important was that according to Song Ji Woo, the breast patterns behind the thin white shirts weren’t actually their real bodies. They wore fake breasts they put under the shirts, so what appeared on the surface was not their actual breasts.

“We had fully prepared for the scene beforehand. We were young in the drama, but in reality, we were adults. Some people think that the scene was real, but no. While filming this scene, we actually wore fake models because the production team was considerate of the actors.”

The Underage Kiss Scene Controversy

In addition to the no-bra church scene, The Glory actress Song Ji Woo also explained the kiss scene she had to do with the PE teacher.

As a matter of fact, Choi Hye Jong’s kiss scene with the gym teacher in The Glory was Song Ji Woo’s first intense kiss scene throughout her career. However, while she was hesitant at first, she believed that the scene was necessary for Hye Jeong.

“It was challenging because it was my first unconventional kiss scene. But I believed it was a necessary scene for Hye Jeong’s character, so it was okay.
Besides, the director put a lot of effort to film the scene quickly. That’s why it didn’t take long to film the scene.
We just couldn’t film it in one take because the ‘GYM’ label kept rotating away from the camera.”

Actress Song Ji Woo believed that the steamy kiss scene was necessary for Hye Jeong. She didn’t come from a wealthy family so her friends considered her as the lower rank.

“Hye Jeong was considered a lower rank. That is why she wants to get her friends’ approval by taking the lead to bring Dong Eun to them.
Stealing the key from the PE teacher was crucial for Hye Jeong to show her capabilities. It was like she wanted to say to her friends: ‘This is the extent of my capabilities. I can do this much.’”
