Star News exclusive report stated on May 17 that The Glory actress Lim Ji Yeon had been selected as the female lead for a new historical drama, Tale of Mrs Ok. If she agrees to take the role, this new JTBC drama will be the first historical drama in which Lim Ji Yeon becomes the main character.

What is Lim Ji Yeon New Drama About?

According to the report, Tale of Mrs Ok new drama tells the story of a female character who fakes her entire life and continues living under a new assumed identity. It tells the fierce survival story of a female slave and her desperate effort to survive and live in the Joseon era.

The Glory actress Lim Ji Yeon will take on the role of Gu Deok Yi, a woman born in the Joseon era to slave parents. Due to a problem with the mistress whom she had been serving, Gu Deok Yi runs away from the mistress.

One day, the mistress suddenly dies. And that’s how Gu Deok Yi sees a chance to live a better life. Gu Deok Yi decides to abandon her old life. She then fakes everything: her name, story, and even her husband, to live a new life assuming the mistress’ identity.
