The most-awaited BTS Universe kdrama “Youth” has halted its shooting schedule until January 2021. According to reports on December 9, filming for the drama “Youth” had stopped at the end of October to discuss BTS Universe Youth characters’ names.

- Seo Jo Hoon as Jin,
- Ahn Ji Ho as J-Hope,
- Seo Young Ju as RM,
- Kim Yoon Woo as Jimin,
- Jung Woo-Jin as V, and
- Jeon Jin Seo as Jungkook.
Unfortunately, when the drama was announced to the public in mid-October, there were many concerns conveyed by BTS fans. The main concern is that the BTS members’ real names are used as characters in the drama. Many of the fans think that using the real names of BTS members would confuse the public.
Moreover, since BTS Universe K-Drama, “Youth” tells of dark and hard events. Such as frustration and violence that occurs among them and their families. So, the fans think that this can damage the image of each BTS members.
Based on this reason, fans conveyed their complaints via letters to Big Hit Entertainment to reconsider this matter. Many fans also trend a hashtag #세계관드라마실명반대 (Worldview drama opposite real name) and #드라마_실명_절대반대 (#Drama_real name_absolutely opposite).

On December 9, Co-producers Chorokbaem Media and Big Hit Entertainment announced that they decided to stop filming following fan concerns about the names of the characters. Moreover, they explained “Filming has been postponed for the process of adjusting character names in narrative stories based on BTS – Universe. We will continue filming after resolving the issue.”
Regardless, the filming is not able to resume this year; the highly anticipated k-drama is confirmed to continue its filming in January 2021.
