On August 13, the Korean Business Research Institute released the latest list of top Kpop girl group brand reputation rankings for August 2023. According to the results, the K-pop girl group NewJeans secured the No. 1 spot for the second consecutive month. NewsJeans Continues to Lead the Top 50 Kpop Girl Group Brand Reputation Rankings in August 2023
The Korean Business Research Institute analyzed 46,858,362 girl group brand big data between July 13 and August 13, 2023, for August’s Kpop girl group brand reputation rankings. This amount represents a 7.30% decrease compared to the 50,549,740 girl group brand big data analyzed in July.
After conducting the analysis, the brand reputation index was measured using the participation index, media index, communication index, and community index for girl group brands.
According to the results, NewJeans, BLACKPINK, LE SSERAFIM, IVE, and (G)I-DLE secured the top five positions in the August girl group brand reputation rankings.

1. NewJeans

Kpop girl group NewJeans achieved a brand reputation index of 8,246,017 this month, marking an impressive 44.56% increase from 5,704,051 in July. During the link analysis for the brand, the words “participate,” “perform,” “break through” ranked high. Meanwhile, in the keyword analysis, “Jamboree,” “Highboy,” “Supershy” also ranked high. Furthermore, NewJeans scored a positive rate of 85.07% in the positive-negative rate analysis.
In recent news, the rookie group celebrated their 1st debut anniversary in July. Additionally, they made their first performance on the Lolla stage at Lollapalooza Chicago 2023 on August 3 (US time). They also participated in the “KPop Super Live” concert at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on August 11 as part of the World Scout Jamboree.
2. BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK achieved a brand reputation index of 4,206,378 this month, which rose by 1.35% from 4,150,384 in July.
Recently, BLACKPINK celebrated its 7th anniversary with a series of online and offline events. These events included showcasing BLACKPINK’s captivating images on 76 screens at Secaucus Junction station in New Jersey. Additionally, Starbucks in 9 Asian countries offered commemorative stickers to customers who purchased BLACKPINK-themed items. Moreover, the group released the “BLACKPINK Quiz” on Weverse, which fans enjoyed.
3. LE SSERAFIM

LE SSERAFIM experienced a significant 21.30% increase in its brand reputation index, rising from July’s 2,795,120 to an impressive 3,390,502 in August.
This growth coincided with their exciting collaboration with American artist Demi Lovato. The collaboration song, “Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s Wife,” was released on August 4. Moreover, LE SSERAFIM kicked off their highly anticipated 2023 “Flame Rises” tour in Seoul on August 12. Further, they are scheduled to visit big cities in Japan, China, Indonesia, and Thailand as part of their tour.

IVE’s brand reputation index experienced a 9.60% increase, climbing from 2,938,434 in July to 3,220,636 in August.
Starship Entertainment recently revealed IVE’s first-ever world tour titled “SHOW WHAT I HAVE.” The world tour is set to start at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Stadium ahead of the group’s highly anticipated comeback in October. Moreover, it is expected that IVE will unveil exclusive details about their new album during the concert.
5. (G)I-DLE

(G) I-DLE’s brand reputation index experienced a significant 45.99% decrease, dropping from 4,347,392 in July to 2,348,007 in August. The Kpop quintet is currently embarking on their world tour, which began last month.
The “I Am Free-ty” concert series began on June 17 in Seoul, South Korea, after the release of their latest mini-album, “I Feel.” In August, the group will perform in six major cities in the United States. Following their performances in the United States, the group will continue their world tour across Europe. In addition, they have also planned additional stops in Macau and Singapore in October.
