More Knife Attack Threats Target Idols and Company After Stabbing Rampage Incident in Seoul, South Korea
South Korea recently experienced the terror of knife attack and a stabbing rampage occurring throughout Seoul. From Bundang to Sillim Station, over 15 people suffered severe injuries from the Seoul stabbing rampage incident, and one of them passed away.
A while after the Seoul stabbing rampage incident, the public in South Korea must face another terror of death threats against idols and their entertainment companies.
Previously, a death threat appeared in South Korea’s online community, targeting aespa’s lead vocalist Winter. Then, after Winter’s case was resolved, it was her agency’s turn to become the target of another death threat. A fan of the agency’s girl group member threatened to kill 9 employees from SM Entertainment agencies at Seoul Forest Station.
Even after the police arrested all the perpetrators involved in both crimes, this series of horrifying death threats has yet to end. Another death threat has emerged, targeting South Korea’s idols and their agencies. And this time, the death threat targets HYBE and Bang Si Hyuk in the form of a knife attack.
HYBE and Bang Si Hyuk Becomes the Target of Knife / Stabbing Attack Threats in Seoul, South Korea
South Korea’s entertainment giant HYBE and its founder, Bang Si Hyuk, are now targets of another knife/stabbing attack threat in Seoul, South Korea.
Korean media outlet MyDaily cited a report from Channel A News that a notice had gone viral in the online community, threatening HYBE and Bang Si Hyuk of a stabbing attack in front of the office building in Seoul, South Korea.
According to the post, the perpetrator threatened to carry out a stabbing attack in front of HYBE’s office building. He also insinuated that he was targeting HYBE’s founder and father of BTS, Chairman Bang Si Hyuk.

Immediately after the report reached the public, the police conducted a thorough search throughout the vicinity of HYBE’s office building. However, they did not find anyone with a weapon.
After they completed the search, the police considered the possibility that a minor authored the post. They previously posted the threats on the X social media (previously Twitter). That is why the police decided to pursue the original poster. They have issued a warrant for X to find out about the perpetrator’s identity and are currently tracking them down.
HYBE’s Security and Prevention Measures
Responding to the knife attack threats, HYBE decided to enhance its security measures. The company has blocked the main gate of its office building as the threat supposedly happened in front of the office.
Moreover, HYBE has also restricted all access to its main gate. The company posted notices, directing employees and visitors to enter the building through the back gate.
As of today, neither HYBE nor Bang Si Hyuk has made an official statement. The company simply stated they had been strengthening security at the office building. However, no further official details are available in the statement.
