Synopsis
“Twinkling Watermelon” is a captivating fantasy coming-of-age drama. It follows the journey of Eun Gyeol, a musically gifted CODA (child of deaf adult) student. After an unexpected time travel experience through a peculiar music shop, he finds himself stranded in an unfamiliar world. In this new place, he forms a band called Watermelon Sugar with a group of enigmatic young individuals.

Ryeoun as Eun Gyeol
Eun Gyeol is the only member of his deaf family who can hear, which leads him to live a double life. During the day, he excels as a model student in academics. At night, he embraces his passion for music as a guitarist in a band.
Ryeoun, the actor playing Eun Gyeol, impressed the production team during the script reading. He incorporated sign language and hand gestures to depict the character’s guitar playing accurately. The actor’s commitment to Eun Gyeol’s character in the drama promises viewers a compelling and relatable journey.
Choi Hyun Wook as Lee Chan
