Kpop group SF9 is losing one of its most highly talented members. The lead vocalist and visual member of SF9, Rowoon, is officially leaving the Kpop group.
On September 18, the agency of Kpop group SF9, FNC Entertainment, announced plans for the group’s future activities on the official fan cafe.
In the announcement, the company revealed that all members of SF9 had renewed their exclusive contracts, but the group will continue promoting with 8 members without Rowoon. According to the company, the reason why Rowoon leaving SF9 was because he wanted to focus more on his solo activities and acting career.
“Hello, this is FNC Entertainment. We would like to inform you about SF9’s future activities.
SF9 has been with us for seven years since its debut in 2016. Therefore, their initial contracts came to an end on September 18.
All members have since renewed their contracts with FNC Entertainment. However, from now on, SF9 will progress with 8 members. Rowoon will no longer participate in SF9’s group activities as he has decided to concentrate on his acting career and other personal pursuits.
Still, Rowoon will forever be the ninth element of SF9. And the remaining members will continue supporting each other as well as giving their all to deliver stellar performances for the fans.

But I felt that fans would see the real story. So, I focused on my work and sometimes hid how I felt. Even if I know many fans are supporting me, I still feel a bit nervous. Instead of setting things straight, I often just stayed quiet.
I sincerely apologize if I seemed like I didn’t care and upset anyone. If I acted differently, it was because I was hiding how I felt.
I’ve been doing my thing for seven years and am grateful for all the good times. Thinking about it now, I’m just really thankful, and it was all because of you.
