BLACKPINK Jisoo is coming to the big screen very soon! The vocalist and visual member will reportedly appear in Kang Dong Won’s new Korean movie, “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman”.
On September 19, multiple reports confirmed that BLACKPINK Jisoo’s debut as a movie actress in Kang Dong Won new film, “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman”.
According to the report, “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman” held a press conference on the afternoon of September 19 at the CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall & IMAX Theatre, Seoul. Attending the press conference were director Kim Seong Sik and the cast members of the movie: Kang Dong Won, Lee Dong Hwi, Esom, Park So I, Kim Jong Soo, and Heo Joon Ho.
During the press conference, director Kim Seong Sik suddenly revealed that BLACKPINK Jisoo had debuted as a movie actress with a special appearance in “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman”.
A Massive Improvement in Jisoo’s Acting Career: How Did It Happen?
So, how did it happen?
According to Korean media outlets E-Daily and Star Today, director Kim Seong Sik was looking for an actress with the image of a fairy. Then, he noticed BLACKPINK Jisoo’s performance in her controversial drama, “Snowdrop”, which marked a promising start to her acting career.
After seeing Jisoo in “Snowdrop”, Kim Seong Sik believed that the BLACKPINK member perfectly fitted the image of a fairy. Therefore, he decided to cast her in the new Korean movie with Kang Dong Wong.
Fortunately, the director mentioned that the timing aligned perfectly with Jisoo’s busy schedule. That is why he believed he was lucky to have BLACKPINK Jisoo’s special appearance in “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman”.’
Indeed, Jisoo may only appear briefly in Kang Dong Won’s new movie. However, she has dramatically improved her acting career by doing so: BLACKPINK Jisoo has now debuted as a movie actress.

As previously discussed, “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman” tells the story of Dr. Cheon, a fake exorcist who doesn’t believe in ghosts. He is a psychiatrist performing fake exorcisms who embarks on a new supernatural journey after a mysterious woman approaches him and offers him 100 million KRW.
Kang Dong Won will play the main character, Dr. Cheon, in the new movie. And in this new mystical journey, he will encounter a fairy with tremendously gorgeous visuals, played by Jisoo. She will immediately captivate viewers’ attentions the moment she appears on the big screen.
