On January 25, EXO D.O. has discharged from mandatory military service. On the same day, he shared his upcoming projects like his solo album and new film to fans on V-Live.
EXO D.O. enlisted in the military service in July 2019 as a chef at the Air Defense Battalion of the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division. Earlier on December 28, 2020, SM Entertainment announced that he was on his final military leave and officially discharged from his military service on January 25.
Moreover, he became the second EXO member that has been discharged from military duty after EXO Xiumin. While two EXO members Suho and Chen, are still doing their military service.
EXO D.O. Reveals His Solo Album & Film After Discharged From Military Service
On January 26, Do Kyung Soo, also known as EXO D.O., finally can greet his fans through V-Live after completing 19-month military service. He said, “I have come back safely. I’m here on V-Live to thank our EXO-Ls directly. I really want to say thank you very much for waiting for me.”
He continued to thank his fans by saying, “I have read all the letters you sent me. I spent my private time reading the letters. Moreover, I felt honored and happy. I even let other soldiers saw them.”
Referring to the solo song that he released before enlistment, EXO D.O said, “I loved that actually, I could convey what I wanted to say through music. There are many songs I want to try.”
Furthermore, he also announced his solo album by saying, “I’m working hard on my solo album too. The songs are ready, and I just got to have work on the lyrics. I have no idea when it will come out, but I will get it ready as soon as possible and play it for you.”
Moreover, it is confirmed that he would make a comeback as an actor in Kim Yonghwa’s new science-fiction film entitled The Moon after EXO D.O. discharged from military service. In the film, he will act alongside Seol Kyung Gu. Concerning his upcoming film, he stated, “I can’t give the details, but it’s very amusing. So, I hope you look forward to it.”
