On June 8, the Korean Business Research Institute unveiled the rankings of the most popular Kpop boy groups for June 2024. SEVENTEEN maintained its top position for the sixth straight month in the brand rankings of K-pop boy groups for May, with BTS, TWS, ATEEZ, and Stray Kids following closely. Let’s explore the top 50 Kpop boy group brand reputation rankings for June 2024.
June 2024 Top Kpop Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute gathered 45,178,369 pieces of big data related to boy group brands from May 8 to June 8, 2024. Through consumer behavior analysis, the institute evaluated the participation, media, communication, and community indexes for boy group brands. Compared to the previous month’s brand big data of 51,491,036 pieces, there was a decrease of 12.26%.
Based on the analysis findings, SEVENTEEN, BTS, TWS, ATEEZ, and Stray Kids emerged as the top five most popular Kpop male groups in June 2024. Here are the rankings for the top 30 Kpop boy groups in April, May, and June.
TOP 5
1. SEVENTEEN
Kpop group SEVENTEEN, whose best album, “17 IS RIGHT HERE,” held on to the 149th position on the “Billboard 200” chart for the fourth consecutive week (based on the Billboard chart released on June 4), maintained their top position in the boy group brand reputation rankings for June 2024 with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 342,158
- Media Index: 1,396,205
- Communication Index: 1,296,380
- Community Index: 1,539,969
As a result, the group attained a brand reputation index of 4,574,712 this month. Compared to the May brand reputation index of 5,046,444, there was a 9.35% decrease.
Moreover, based on the link analysis results, the institute found “certification,” “donation,” and “performance” as the group’s popular related terms. In the keyword analysis, the institute identified “Carat,” “Billboard,” and “fan meeting” as the group’s most popular keywords. Additionally, in the analysis of positive and negative ratios, the group achieved a positive rate of 93.62%.
2. BTS
Kpop group BTS, who is gearing up for their anniversary this year with BTS Festa 2024, rose to the second position this month with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 175,702
- Media Index: 1,117,508
- Communication Index: 1,316,973
- Community Index: 1,484,428
As a result, the group earned a brand reputation index of 4,094,611, increasing by 68.64% from the brand reputation index of 2,427,988 in May.
3. TWS
Rookie boy band TWS, who is set to make their first comeback this June with a summer-themed album, secured the third position in this month’s boy group rankings with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 127,958
- Media Index: 617,364
- Communication Index: 775,226
- Community Index: 928,297
Consequently, the group’s brand reputation index fell by 41.39%, from 4,178,053 in May to 2,448,845 in June.
4. ATEEZ
Kpop boy group ATEEZ, who recently made history with three UK Top 10 albums in one year, beating BTS’s record, soared to the fourth position this month with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 54,458
- Media Index: 445,871
- Communication Index: 776,689
- Community Index: 980,759
Accordingly, the group’s brand reputation index skyrocketed by 111.27%, from 1,068,671 in May to 2,257,777 in June.
5. Stray Kids
Kpop boy band Stray Kids, who recently won the prestigious Global Spotlight Award at the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2024 in Japan with their self-produced “SKZFLIX,” climbed to the fifth place this month and concluded the top five with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 125,013
- Media Index: 357,361
- Communication Index: 584,892
- Community Index: 679,563
As a result, their brand reputation index increased by 3.72%., from 1,684,185 in May to 1,746,829 in June.
