BTS Suga Bows in Apology During Official DUI Investigation at the Police Station – A Case Update
Following the previous false report and the chaotic commotion from the Korean media vultures, BTS Suga finally appeared at the police station to comply with the official investigation of his DUI drunk driving case 17 days after the incident.
On the evening of August 23, approximately at 7.44 PM KST, a Dispatch update revealed BTS Suga arriving at the Yongsan Police Station, dressed in a black suit and looking exhausted.
He came out of a black sedan and walked to face all the reporters who had been waiting for him. Then, he bowed down before apologizing in public.
“I am truly sorry. I have caused great disappointment to many fans and people.
I am sincerely reflecting on causing such disappointment. I will cooperate fully with the investigation. I am sorry once again.”

At approximately 10.53 PM of the same day, BTS Suga completed the first police investigation of the DUI case. He came out of the station to face the reporters and repeatedly expressed his remorse to all his fans and the public.
“I am truly sorry. My wrongful actions have caused hurt and disappointment. I am deeply reflecting on and regretting this, and I will make sure this never happens again.

Yonhap News Releases More CCTV Footage in a Shocking Update – Was It REALLY Accurate?
While BTS Suga has finally expressed his sincere apology and good intentions, the Korean media seem to have yet completed their ravaging hunt.
Later on the same day of the official police investigation, Yonhap News released another alleged CCTV footage of the BTS Suga DUI incident.
In this new DUI case update, the alleged CCTV footage showed BTS Suga flimsily riding his electric scooter. After almost falling while driving close to a white car, BTS Suga stopped to regain control and resume his drive.
However, is this CCTV footage really accurate?
After all, this new DUI footage of BTS Suga came from Yonhap News. It is one of the Korean media outlets that previously released a false CCTV footage of the BTS rapper falling into a curb.
Worse, instead of clearly owning their mistake, Yonhap chose to vaguely apologize using their English YouTube channel, KOREA NOW, in a community post far from the public’s attention.
Yet, Yonhap once again released exclusive footage through the same channel as the false report, Yonhap News TV. Not only that, but they did it without making an official apology in Korean.
Here’s the official news from Yonhap News TV.
Mixed Reactions from the Korean Public – Your Thoughts?
Still, even when the CCTV was yet confirmed, the Korean public responded with mixed reactions. Another side felt uncomfortable with the continuous CCTV releases. Meanwhile, others continued to criticize the drunk driving act itself, especially knowing it happened during Suga’s military enlistment.
- “I feel like more stuff is coming out now than during his solo activities. Please stop it ㅜㅜ. Why do CCTV videos keep being released?”
- “Let’s stop here… Leaving might be the best optionㅠㅠ. This isn’t the kind of challenge you can overcome. The timing of this, happening while he’s serving, is just the worst.”
- “Cars were hesitating and avoiding him, ah.”
- “Just stop it already, seriously.”
- “Wow, it was a miracle that there wasn’t an accident.”
- “Even after seeing this, his diehard fans (슈천지) will still say, ‘Our Yoongi is pitiful,’ right?”
But what about you? What are your thoughts about this new footage of the BTS Suga DUI incident update? After all, BTS Suga has sincerely apologized, repeatedly showing his remorse at the police station.
