CJ ENM’s music channel, Mnet, launched the first MAMA Awards music video ceremony in 1999. MAMA, the leading music awards event in Asia, stands for Mnet Asian Music Awards. In 2022, the name was rebranded to MAMA Awards. This annual event is dedicated to celebrating and honoring artists and their music while uniting people through the power of music.

The awards ceremony have significantly introduced and expanded Kpop globally by hosting ceremonies in various Asian countries, including Singapore, Macao, Hong Kong, Japan, and Vietnam.

This year, with a unique concept of “BIG BLUR: What is Real?,” the ceremony will take place for the first time in the United States on November 21 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The exciting event will continue in Japan for two days, from November 22 to 23, at the Kyocera Dome Osaka.

Embracing the Big Blur concept, which highlights the blurred boundaries among industries, cultures, music genres, and technology, the music event will deliver surreal yet authentic experiences. It will showcase visually breathtaking performances that seamlessly blend art with technology. This music event will also serve as a bridge connecting Kpop fans worldwide while promoting the message “Music Makes ONE.”
