BTS’ ‘Butter’ Tops Billboard Hot 100 Chart for Two Consecutive Weeks

BTS’ new digital single “Butter” has gained a lot of achievement since its debut. Recently, BTS, “Butter,” officially tops the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated June 12) for two consecutive weeks.

BTS’ ‘Butter’ Officially No.1 Billboard Hot 100 Chart for Two Consecutive Weeks

“Butter,” the second English song by BTS, officially debuts at No. 1 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, making BTS one of the most No.1 debuts in history. With “Butter,” it earns the group’s fourth No. 1 song, after “Dynamite,” “Savage Love (Laxed Siren Beat),” and “Life Goes On” in the last nine months.

According to Billboard, “Butter” is the 23rd song out of 54 songs in history that reached #1 on the Hot 100 chart in two consecutive weeks. BTS has topped the Hot 100 for two weeks in a row for the second time since “Dynamite.”

Furthermore, the song remains at No. 1 in the United States, with 19.1 million streams and 140,200 downloads sold in the week ending June 3. It also racked up 22.4 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 24 percent) in the week ending June 6.

BTS also made history by breaking five Guinness World Records across YouTube and Spotify. It garnered 18.2 million views within 24 hours after its debut, the most significant number of views in YouTube music video history. Finally, just 14 days and 10 hours after its debut on the 4th, the “Butter” MV surpassed 300 million views on YouTube.
