ADOR has lost NewJeans. The final press conference had been the last breath of the group’s future in the label. Yet, as one of the top labels of HYBE, ADOR must do whatever it is to survive. Hence, the debut of ADOR new boy group, “The Real Hype Boys.” But with how everything turned out for NewJeans vs ADOR issue, will you still support this new boy group? And without Min Heejin, will this new boy group only become another “The Real HYBE Boys”? Join us in a complete discussion below.
HYBE Subsidiary Employees Moving to ADOR: Gearing Up for New Boy Group
Recently, ADOR has found itself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. After NewJeans dramatic contract termination issue, it will be extremely challenging for ADOR to maintain its position within the Kpop music industry.
Not only that, but the creative mastermind that makes ADOR so different from other Kpop labels, Min Heejin, is no longer with the company. That, and with the possible lawsuit ADOR had to file against NewJeans, the company is now in a major pinch!
However, behind the scenes, there seem to be significant changes. Rumors started swirling that ADOR was planning to cover all its losses by gearing up for the debut of the new boy group.
On December 1, a post on Instiz claimed that HYBE had been moving its subsidiary labels’ employees to ADOR. This change in the management and staffing triggered rumors and speculations that ADOR is gearing up to debut its new boy group, “The Real Hype Boys.”
And yet, many have been questioning whether they should support ADOR new boy group despite the departure of its mastermind, Min Heejin.
ADOR Without Min Heejin: Turning into “The Real HYBE Boys” Amid NewJeans Issue?
Let’s be honest: despite all the debatable controversy and problematic issues surrounding Min Heejin, she has always been the driving force and creative mastermind of ADOR.
Therefore, her exit from ADOR has undoubtedly cast a massive shadow over the company’s future, especially when it faces a complicated issue with former artist NewJeans.
And so, without Min Heejin, fans started wondering: will this iconic “The Real Hype Boys” turns into nothing more than a carbon copy of HYBE boy group HYBE boys, instead?
After all, some fans did argue that, without Min Heejin, ADOR has lost its essence and may no longer have the same creative path.
- “Isn’t it just a HYBE boy group now?”
- “ADOR without Min Heejin is just HYBE.”
Fans believe it’s hard to imagine how ADOR new boy group will differentiate itself from its peers already under the HYBE umbrella, like BTS, SEVENTEEN, and TXT.
Meanwhile, others still argued that the debut concept of ADOR new boy group had been all ready since before NewJeans issue.
Now, if that’s the case, it raises more concern about the fact that the new ADOR might just market this boy group as “NewJeans’ little brother.” As NewJeans is no longer with ADOR, fans are questioning whether it’s ethically right to publicize and promote the group in such a way, knowing the issue that made NewJeans leave the company.
Will You Support the New Boy Group Debut?
Finally, despite all the unrelated issue with NewJeans, would you still support ADOR new boy group and its promising trainees?
Despite the mixed reactions, it’s important to remember that the trainees debuting in ADOR’s new boy group are not to blame for the controversy within the company. They have likely been working hard for years to make their debut, and the massive change of ADOR must have been extremely difficult and challenging for them.
That is why fans are frustrated more about the ADOR’s agenda and shady direction than about the boys themselves.
Not only that, but some fans even felt sorry for the trainees. After all, debuting under the previously famous ADOR had been a dream for many aspiring idols. Even when the company is not in a prime condition today, these dreams are true and real.
Therefore, as easy as it is to dismiss ADOR new boy group as just another “HYBE boy group,” it’s important to give them a chance.
