Hence, ADOR admonished NewJeans for taking such actions and demanded the group return to the official channel.
“Any social media accounts other than the official ones set up by ADOR were created without our prior agreement, as outlined in the exclusive contract. We’ve already received inquiries and complaints from third parties, like advertisers, about these accounts and their content.
Running independent activities through these accounts could lead to legal issues, so we’ve shared our concerns with the members and their parents.
NewJeans already has a dedicated fan platform called Phoning and official social media accounts on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). We really hope the members will stick to these official channels to keep connecting with fans, just like they always have.”

In this new Instagram account, NewJeans members have been showcasing a series of relatable posts, showing that the members are still the same old relatable GenZ teenagers with their adorable yet quirky personalities.
While this move has been considered controversial, this new Instagram account of NewJeans successfully gained millions of followers in such a short time. In just a few days, @jeanzforfree has achieved over 3 million followers, including the luxury watch brand OMEGA.
