The Global OTT Awards (GOTT) 2025 have announced their winners at the International Streaming Festival. This year, Netflix’s hit drama “When Life Gives You Tangerines” won the most awards. Korean actresses Park Eun Bin and Yeom Hye Ran also secured top acting awards for the second time. Check out the complete list of winners here.
International Streaming Festival: Global OTT Awards 2025 Winners

The Ministry of Science and ICT, the Korea International Streaming Festival, and the Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency co-hosted the 2025 International Streaming Festival, which took place from August 22 to August 25, 2025.
The main event of the International Streaming Festival is the Global OTT Awards. The event is a new, restructured version of the Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards, which were previously part of the Busan International Film Festival in 2023 and 2024.
The Global OTT Awards made its official debut at the 2025 International Streaming Festival. The show featured 14 competition categories and 5 invitation categories, honoring the best actors and content in streaming.
The Global OTT Awards 2025 Winners

On August 24, the 2025 Global OTT Awards took place at the Outdoor Theater of the Busan Cinema Center. All the biggest names in the streaming industry came together for the ceremony.
The charismatic Korean actor Joo Jong Hyuk, known for his role in the hit show “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” and announcer Lee Hye Sung hosted the ceremony.
This year, South Korea won the most awards with 11 awards in total. Following behind were China with 4 awards and Japan with 2 awards.
Netflix’s “When Life Gives You Tangerines” Wins Big
The night’s big winner went to Netflix’s “When Life Gives You Tangerines.” The hit series that blends a beautiful, inspiring story and cinematic experience in Jeju Island earned the grand prize, the Best Creative award.
The show earned six nominations and went home with three major awards, including Best Creative (the top prize), Best Screenwriter for Lim Sang Choon, and Best Supporting Actress for Yeom Hye Ran. Excitingly, this is Yeom Hye Ran’s second time in a row winning this award. Last year, she took home the award for her stunning appearance in Netflix’s “Mask Girl.”
Top Drama and Variety Show on TV and OTT
This year’s Best OTT Original went to Disney Plus’s 2025 Korean drama “Nine Puzzles.” PTS Plus’s Taiwanese drama “The Outlaw Doctor” won the Best Asian TV Series. CJ ENM’s “World Street Woman Fighter” took home Best Reality & Variety.
The Shining Stars
The Best Director award went to Xiao Feng Yao for iQIYI’s “Northward.” This moving story about youth in China became the most buzzworthy series after its screening at the festival.
Kentaro Sakaguchi won Best Lead Actor for his role in Coupang Play’s “What Comes After Love.” In a moment that won everyone’s heart, he gave his acceptance speech in Korean, and his fans went wild.

The talented Park Eun Bin won Best Lead Actress for Disney Plus’s “Hyper Knife.” This marks her second award for Best Lead Actress, following her win in 2022 for “Extraordinary Attorney Woo.”

In her passionate acceptance speech, she shared how much the role meant to her. She also promised to keep taking on exciting new characters.
Oh Jung Se’s performance as a brutal and cunning villain in SLL’s “Good Boy” earned him Best Supporting Actor. It was a chilling performance that gets under your skin, and the judges loved it.
Best Supporting Actress went to Yeom Hye Ran for her performance in Netflix’s “When Life Gives You Tangerines.” This win marks Yeom Hye Ran’s second award at this event. Last year, she took home the same award for her stunning appearance in Netflix’s “Mask Girl.”
The Fan Favorites and Rising Stars
Three rising actors were in the spotlight that night. Kang You Seok won the Best New Actor for his stunning performance in TVING’s “Resident Playbook.” Korean young actress Chung Su Bin( Jung Soo Bin) of STUDIO X+U’s “Friendly Rivalry” and Taiwanese young actress Suri Lin of Netflix’s “Born for the Spotlight” took home the Best New Actress.

The winners were Bai Jingting (“The First Frost”) and Bai Lu (“Northward”). Their fanbases are massive. A vast crowd of Bai Jingting’s fans showed up just for him, proving just how loved he is around the globe.
