Winners of the Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) 2025

The 20th Seoul International Drama Awards announced its winners on September 16, 2025. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at KBS Hall on Thursday, October 2. The event will be broadcast on October 3 at 6 PM KST on the official SDA YouTube channel and SBS TV.
This grand celebration honored seven titles and sixteen individuals across various categories. Hollywood star and director Ben Stiller won the prestigious Golden Bird Prize for directing Apple TV+’s “Severance: Season 2.” This psychological thriller also earned Best Screenwriter for its thought-provoking story that deepens our understanding of humanity and encourages reflection on harmony.
Meanwhile, Netflix’s “Adolescence” secured three awards, including the Grand Prize, thanks to its compelling storytelling. The Korean-language drama “Pachinko Season 2,” based on the novel by Korean-American author Min Jin Lee, won two major honors this year. The series won the Best Miniseries and Best Actress for Kim Minha.
Netflix also dominated the K-Drama competition category. Korean dramas “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” and “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” each won the Outstanding Korean Drama award. Stars Ju Ji Hoon from “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” and IU from “When Life Gives You Tangerines” claimed the Outstanding Korean Actor & Actress awards, respectively.
You voted, and your voices counted in the Outstanding Asian Star awards. South Korea’s Kim Seon Ho for “The Tyrant” and Jisoo for “Newtopia” won awards. They were joined by Japan’s Sakaguchi Kentaro and other fan favorites from Thailand, China, the Philippines, and Malaysia.
