Yeo Jin Goo on How He Met Jungkook

On August 9, Actor Yeo Jin Goo revealed in an interview that he and BTS Jungkook friendship started after a friend of a friend introduced them to each other.

During the interview, Yeo Jin Goo explained that he had met Jungkook through a mutual friend from an entirely different field of business. But then, these two superstars immediately became close once they knew that they were the same age. After all, both Jungkook and Yeo Jin Goo were born in 1997.

“I’ve recently begun making friends in the same field. Jungkook is actually a friend of a friend. And that friend isn’t from the entertainment business… But that’s how I was introduced to Jungkook.

When I realized that he and I are the same age, I kind of opened up to him really quickly. For some reason, I’ve never had any actor friends who are my age… So I’ve always wondered what it would feel like to have that kind of friend.”

On top of that, one of the main reasons why Yeo Jin Goo and Jungkook developed good friendships is because they actually share similar personalities. That is why they can get along very well.

Actor Yeo Jin Goo and BTS Jungkook Displays of Affection Over the Years

It’s hard to determine when this beautiful friendship between Yeo Jin Goo and Jungkook began. However, people started to realize that these two are close friends somewhere in 2019.

On March 13, 2019, Yeo Jin Goo mentioned in an interview when wrapping up his “Crowned Clown” drama that he liked to watch movies and meet up with his friends, Jungkook, Park Bo Gum, and Kwak Dong Yeon.

“Park Bo Gum, and same-age friends Kwak Dong Yeon and BTS Jungkook. It’s harder than I expected to meet friends of the same age.”

Jungkook’s Food Truck: “Jin Goo’s Chingoo”

Then, BTS Jungkook confirmed this statement by sending Yeo Jin Goo a snack and coffee truck on his “Hotel del Luna” set on April 8, 2019. Besides, Jungkook also wrote a thoughtful message, “From JG to JG”, which were both of their name’s initials “Jeon Jung Kook (Jung Gook)” and “Yeo Jin Goo”.

“From JG to JG, coffee shop/pizza restaurant opens next door to Hotel del Luna,” was the message written on Jungkook’s banner. Then, Jungkook also added stickers and another message, “I will cheer on ‘Hotel Del Luna.’”, and closed with regard, “From Jungkook, Jin Goo’s chingoo,”

which is a pun for “Jin Goo’s friend”.

“Run BTS!” Episode 73 Jokes

In addition to the food truck, Jungkook also repeated the pun “Jin Goo’s chingoo” during the show “Run BTS!” Episode 73.

On May 28, BTS V was supposed to act as teenage King Lee Hwon from “Moon Embracing the Sun” drama, which Yeo Jin Goo played. Upon the actor’s appearance, BTS Jungkook immediately said that Yeo Jin Goo was his friend, “Jin Goo’s chingoo.”

And finally, on June 16, BTS official Twitter uploaded photos of a snack and coffee truck from Yeo Jin Goo to BTS Jungkook. The actor had sent the coffee truck to support Jungkook during BTS’s fan meeting in Busan.

Furthermore, as a reply to what Jungkook had previously sent him, Yeo Jin Goo also wrote, “From JG to JG” on the banner, along with “I’m cheering for BTS and the golden maknae, Jungkook!”, and closed with a remark, “From Jungkook’s chingoo, Yeo Jin Goo.”

Moreover, as a response to Yeo Jin Goo’s food truck, Jungkook also wrote a caption, “How did you know I like hot dogs? Thanks, I ate it well. #JGJG”
